Cobaby--I just wanted to add my sympathy and let you know that you aren't alone! I have been on Zofran since my 6th week and although it controls puking, nothing makes me feel better. It feels like such a long time to be constantly sick. It makes me feel as though it will last forever. I so hope it doesn't. Blech.

much love to you too lisedea x mines come back, i;ve had 1 1/2 weeks of borderline migraines and spinning out, making me feel pretty awful.. feel for u both.. i find even tho my sickness eased off for ages.. and has come back.. it just feels so continuous its a nightmare.. i cant even imagine having it for as long as both you two have ( well not due to preg.. ive had bad sickness in the past but i wasnt preg so was on tubes, and injections and allsorts..) sending empathic thoughts xx

Insomnia apparently, my DD cried out ~2:45am so I went to check on her, went pee (this is key for me when pregnant pretty much whenever I wake up) and then crawled back in bed, but no dice. Finally got up about 3:15am because I figured I should try eating and drinking, I think that was it, so I definitely need to be eating more (already working on that) and I may need to start keeping snacks and drinks upstairs too. I always had a glass for water with my first pregnancy, but I think I'll need food as well this time.

My nausea is coming back, ugh! It had been almost entirely gone for at least a week and a half or so. But fortunately, throughout it has been pretty amenable to me eating. I just need to go shopping again for more quick grab-and-eat type snacks that aren't junky.

On the other hand, I've had three glorious nights this week where I didn't have to get up to pee in the middle! Uterus getting higher out of my pelvis, maybe?

Oh, and I forget where we were talking about the Bella Bands, but I got one and it has been MARVELOUS. Sooooooooo much more comfortable (and better than trying to be sly unbuttoning my pants in public, haha). I just took a trip from home in New England to SoCal on a direct flight and I was so, so, glad to have the band for that. So, highly recommended from me.

oh  no marie.. this is what happened to me.. i really thought i was done and then boom.. HUGS.. any releif atall cobaby?sounds like u got it nasty :(

well spots are being a nightmare.. drws written me aa script for some cream and im going on antibiotics as my kidnesy are being a bit stroppy still (cant risk pyelonithritis again.. as that means long hospital admissions) also hes writing me up scripts for vitc, iron, and other stuff, and my community matron is coming next week to give me my b12 injection so im hoping all of this will boost me and give me some energy :)

Im still getting little wriggles in my tummy.. if i wasnt id be much more parnaoid i think as im still barely showing.. i mean..i was teeny before (21 inch waist) but my waist is still only about 25/26.. and thats when i need to wee. but i just look fat rather then pregnant so i keep getting paranoid that maybe im just not.. (again) even tho i saw the scan, boobs wont stop hurting , Feel sick, cant sleep, spinning out and dizzy lots, plus headaches, spots, colds, and i can feel the lil thing fluttering around.. need to just start believing it now.. evertime i do.. its like i believe it for a while the i freak out and convince myself im wrong!!

Oh dear timesaway!  I hope you can get things under control.  That sounds awful.  I wouldn't worry about barely showing.  It takes time!  I feel like I look the same as 2 weeks ago too.

ick.  More puking today.  DH gets frustrated when I am puking because he wants to make it stop but he can't.  He feels like the medicine isn't working but I keep having to remind him even though I'm still sick, it's helping.  Without it I can't even hold down water.  So, uh, yeah.  If I could fast forward the next few weeks and be done with this part i would.

cobaby.. i really wonder if they could try a higher dose or something.. must be horrible.. im still not sure which one zofran is.. but im told cyclizine is ok during preg, and various ones of the travel sickness pills.. also in alternative stuff have u tryed those wrist band things/ i used to use them for travelling when i was young and dont know if it was slitely placebo but they helped a bit.. also maybe some acupuncture? i find generally when i feel sick salty foods help.. your quite slim so if you can tolerate it crisps mite work? really really hope you feel better soon, adn thankyou.. mine is fairly trivial compared to your constant puking.. altho i have a big cystic spot on my forehead giving me a headache makingme quite pissed off lol ;) (however thats hardly something to moan about) im thinking tho that kidneys and spots mite be related as i had bad skin when my kidneys whent astray the first time.. so maybe its not just homones and in that case... maybe antibiotics and keeping an eye on my kidneys a bit better will make the lovely spots go away.. i want my nice spot free skin back please!!!

I am not actually puking all the time on the meds.  Just a handful of times a week.  The trouble is I still feel like garbage. 

It's funny in a way but with each pregnancy I have had "safe foods" during morning sickness that are mostly ok to me.  Each time it's some form of dairy and carbs and things that are not a part of my typical diet.  With my first it was cheerios and milk.  My second it was boxed fettuccini alfredo (so not typical for me things that processed).  This time it is bagels with cream cheese and mozzarella cheese quesadillas but they must be microwaved because i want the tortilla soft, not crisp.  Apples, applesauce and kiwi are also ok.  Do other people have foods like that they have to stick to when they have morning sickness?

CoBabyMaker I've had something different each time too. With DS1 it was watermelon. It was my miracle cure for the constant nausea. With DS2 it was clemintines, I could eat them by the bag all the way through his pregnancy. This time its strawberries and plain Greek yogurt. I could eat those 2 things all day long. The funny thing about the yogurt is that I had to stop drinking milk this time as it was making me constipated, but I'm having no issue in that department with the yogurt. So once I'm properly on the Brewer Diet I'll be substituting yogurt for milk.

I so desperately want my energy back. Also this week I've started getting a lot more round ligament pain. Yeah for a growing womb, but boo to the pain that comes with it.

mine are plain crisps and bacon sandwiches (so healthy ;) ) i need to start wanting to eat vegetables because im sure without my multivitamins im not even vaguely having a well rounded diet, but clementines and watermelon sound good.. mite try and get to the supermarket tommorrow and fill my fridge with fruit and veg and see if it encourages me to eat a little more healthily, but for the last week im barely eating again because of these silly migraines therefore im sortve eating whatever i feel like rather then eating what may or may not be healthy :P

and hugs lynnann, ive been getting quite a bit of the round ligament, aswell as spd being a total nightmare still.. altho feeling lots of little spikes which im sure are babys teenytiny elbows.. which is quite exciting :)

Timesaway, have you tried mate tea for the migraines?  I got hormonal ones before getting pregnant so I'd just drink that the whole week before I was supposed to get my period and it really seemed to help.  It was okayed by my midwife at my last appointment and it has seemed to help with this last one I've had.

Hope everyone starts feeling better soon.  I'm over here in my office belching like a sailor.  So attractive, not to mention professional.

timesaway, Maybe you could find it in a health food store?  I've only had one migraine but man, i cannot imagine having them all the time.  I hope you find some relief.

Lynann, I have been having some round ligament pain too.  The odd thing is that I hardly had any at all with my previous pregnancies.

I was just looking at a Hyperemesis website and discovered that it's actually pretty common for women to get relief from the vomiting with Zofran but not the nausea.  It's also ok to take B6/unisom in conjunction with the Zofran.  The B6/unisom is often not enough for severe vomiting (which would explain why it did nothing for me before) but if that is under control it can help with the nausea.  I am so excited/hopeful that it will help me.  I want to take care of and enjoy my family!

thanks :) im used to them as i had them daily as  a child so unless they get awful awful i spend my days in the dark with everything dimmed and cursing at anyone for making the slitest bit of noise.. today i had proper migraine projectile vomiting tho so im not happy.... nothing  seems to work.. is mate tea a brand or is that the actual type of tea? i'll look for it.. literally would try anything right now :S my neck has turned to rock aswell as a side affect and my normal methods of easing it arent working, making me feel really veryshit!!  hope your all doing ok xx



Oh on a side note.. has anyone else suffered with this sortve morning migraine? where its usually eased enough to vaguely function by evening, but u wake up with it full on crazy levals of ouch every morning? i wondered if it were to do with hormone levals but before this my nausea/sickness was worse at night.. weird..

Ugh, times, that sounds miserable. I've never had a migraine, thanks goddess, so I can't even begin to imagine, but you sound a wreck right now. I hope you get some relief soon!

Thanks xx I'm seeing my ob tommorrow (if I can stop throwing up everytime I move) hoping she mite have a suggestion.. Pain management unit ages ago were gonna try accupuncture on me but never happened so mite ask for it.. I normally take truly and for migraines and find them good if taken early (they at least ease it even if they don't stop it) but they are a nono in preg.. I'm usin wheat bags on my neck and back as my shoulders and back have turned to stone and just bAsicallly slept for 3 dAys straight now (yest got do bad I could barely speak and couldn't eat.. Just hoping I make the appointment tommorrow.. Lisdea- I hope you find relief soon.. They are horrible things, really disabling.. Can't be helping that morning sickness of yours.. Xxx
