I just want ONE night of great sleep. Just one.

1.  I have to pee every 2 hrs.

2.  If I lie on my right side, my ribs ache like crazy.

3.  If I like on my left side, my left leg and forearm get serious pins & needles.

4.  I can't fall asleep until midnight due to some strange bout of evening insomnia.

Seriously!  While I will still take this over nausea & vomiting any day of the week, I am so bloody tired!  :)  I think I'm averaging 5 hrs a night.  Which I realize won't change when the baby arrives, but what I would give for a good night of sleep is unbelievable!

ugggh, I hear you!  And the awful thing for me is that even on the nights when I manage to get a decent amount of sleep, I still wake up exhausted!  For me, no matter what side I lie on my hips ache.  On my right side I feel nauseous (no clue why).  And I can't breathe anymore- even while lying down I feel like I'm suffocating (curse of the short torso).

I will say that I've found some help for the falling to sleep insomnia- Rescue Remedy- it's homeopathic and safe during pregnancy.  You can find it at any health food store/whole foods market.  That stuff is truly wonderful.  Although, I still have the restless legs for about 20 minutes but then they seem to go away.  I still have 9 weeks and I'm already feeling so done!

I feel your pain--literally!

1. Wake up to pee every hour
2. Pain in ribs whichever side I lie on (pregnaant with twins, FWIW)
3. Get pins and needles hip/leg if I lie on left side
4. Major insomnia!
5. Have a cold--only time I've been sick this pregnancy--and can't breathe, throat hurts from post nasal drip!

1.--5. = Very grumpy!

So grateful to pregnant after three years of trying and major fertility treatments, and this pregnancy has been great overall, but need good sleep!!!

Not that much longer!  I actually sleep great once the baby is here.  Cosleeping + nursing on demand = nice stretches of sleep.  I actually wake up refreshed and energized once the baby is here and I've been able to sleep more than 45 minutes at a time.

Also, sleeping with a newborn is so much nicer than sleeping with a toddler.  Being kicked, shoved, headbutted and basically assaulted all night is kind of tiring.

I 100% agree with you on this!! I slept so much better after birthing DS than I did in the 1-2 months before! And he still hasn't slept through the night at 24 months old so it's not like we got a good sleeper at all!

Ugh yes! For me it is

1. Peeing every couple of hours
2. Left hip aches when I lie on it so can only sleep on right side
3. Weird bouts of insomnia
4. Toddler suddenly waking to feed every. hour. from 2:30 on. And of course I can't sleep while she feeds because my nipples are agony and if I don't hold her hands she is groping my other nipple or my stomach which makes me want to scream.

Thanks for the vent, I feel a bit better now redface.gif

The peeing. If I manage not to wake up I can hold it until I do but if anything wakes me, doesn't matter if it's been 30 minutes, I HAVE to get up and go pee.
Right side - ribs/hips/pubic bone/knees

Left side - all of the above, minus rubs, add tailbone

Coupled with chronic stuffiness no matter the meds, and lifelong insomnia, and I'm pretty much a walking narcoleptic-like zombie crazy person. :(

Well, last night was not the night of sleep I had been hoping for.  :)  Here's hoping for tonight....I am going to check into Rescue Remedy.  I am nauseas with so many things that I eat, smell, take, etc. (most supplements are off the table for me...haven't been able to even go near a pre-natal) set me off but it might be worth a try!
