feds update... « Back to Group Discussions

so after 18 months of living with uncertainty, and a conditional job offer, we were notified last week, via form letter email, that the feds are closing the department dh was supposed to work for.  he is crushed. i am sad for him, but so relieved for me.  i feel kind of guilty for how relieved i am.  they noted "budgetary constraints" as the reason for the closing.  we were mentally prepared for this journey to end in a variety of ways, but we could have never conceived of this....

anyway, just wanted to give u ladies the latest...

It must be such a relief to just have any answer, probably that is where some of it comes from. And, for it to be working out in the least complicated way possible also. It is a bummer that he is disappointed, but it seems like so many times (for us anyway) that things that seem like huge let downs usually lead to something better down the road. :)

I am glad you have an answer, living with uncertainty must have been really difficult. I hope a far better door opens now, that will please you both.
