Not sure if it is PPD

I am a mom of 3. I had a baby a few weeks a go that I did not keep. I am not sad about not having the baby here with me, so I am not sure why I would have PPD. I have noticed the past week that I am having extreme trouble remembering things(basic things like what time school starts, what day is dance, etc). I am short tempered, tired and feeling overwhelmed with everything. I feel like I am failing at motherhood lately where I cant keep up with their demands or remember things. Is this PPD or just regular hormones? Do I wait longer for it to improve on it's own?

PPD has a number of components, some social, some hormonal.  So even if you don't have a baby at your house, you could be experiencing PPD.

I don't see any reason why you shouldn't ask for help and evaluation now.  That won't stop things from getting better on their own, and there is no reason why you shouldn't seek help while you're waiting.  It's also possible that you're dealing with something physical, like anemia, and if that's the case, the sooner you know, the better.

You and your family are important, and you deserve appropriate, compassionate care.

That's true, hormones do not simply go away like the baby. I would consult a professional to find out about the source of the emotions.
