I am sure some of you are on the Friends of Iowa Midwives email list- if so then you already know that one of our midwives is in legal trouble. Ladies- legislation has gotten basically nowhere- here is our chance to try to get a favorable ruling for a CPM. As I am sure we all agree- CPMs are NOT practicing medicine without a license. And at least around me the only way to have a home birth it through a CPM. If we can gain a favorable ruling in this case it should at least set a precident for CPMs in our state. This is our hill.
