Ok here is our first weekly motivation thread. My first goals for the week is to cut out sugar and most processed foods. I just got back from stocking up on healthy foods at the grocery store. Today so far I've eaten, Breakfast: an orange two slices of wheat toast with natural Peanut butter
Early lunch, turkey sandwich on whole wheat with spouts and lettuce, natural doritos cool ranch(gotta have my chips) and strawberries.
I only drink water so I don't get any extra calories from liquids.

I am lucky to have never liked coffee or soda so I have no caffine addiction, I am just working on my sugar/carb addiction.

I just saw a weekly weigh in thread, maybe we should do that too starting today.

weight lost this week -
weight loss total.

What do you think ?

Sounds good. My scale says 158 but it is about 10lbs off so I will say weight is 168

Can I join in? The MDC Running Club has been SOOO good for me exercise wise, but I still need to get the eating under control.

I started logging my food on www.fitday.com

I did really well today. The only processed foods I ate were 1 slice of whole wheat bread and my nightly piece of good dark chocolate.

Cals -1210
Carb 65%
Fat - 21%
Protein 14%

I also ran for 12 mins and walked for 18.

Weight 185
Ultilmate goal weight 125
goal for week- LESS than 185!

JEEZzzzzz, You guys are too skinny for me to be in your group! I guess it is motivation though! Your starting weights are my goal weights. I am going to need some constant supervision

OK, how many threads do we have going here? :LOL Seriously, I haven't excercised at all but I've been really, really cutting back on what I eat. I can't believe how much I ate for stress reasons. That's awful! Anyway, I'm planning to excercise today if the baby would EVER nap!

I'm doing ok, I have cut down on my snacking a LOT. I have found that if I save my treat for the day for after the kids go to bed I have something to look forward to all day. My treat is stonyfeild farms strawberry cheesecake yogurt with crubled graham crackers and fresh strawberries. It's something I look forward to all day.

I have not been exercising though.

I haven't touched a bite of chocolate since monday though!!!! That is a huge breakthrough.

I did my Yoga for Weight Loss yesterday and plan to do it today as well. I've been eating alot better. I fell off the wagon for a bit last night but still have eaten way less than usual. I love being accountable here!

uh oh, I ate half a cookie and a tiny sliver of cake at my grandmothers today. We go visit a few times a month for lunch. I don't feel too bad because it is WAY less than I normally eat over there. I resisted the candy bowl and only ate half the cookie....LOL

I ate three pieces of pizza and a few cookies tonight at a Party Lite party. I wasn't even thinking about it. I'm such the social eater, I guess. Still, I did great all day and weighed myself. I've lost 4 lbs according to the scales. I do feel better. I took a long walk today but didn't get to Yoga.

Everyone's welcome!! I felt so crappy physically after eating those sweets yesterday. I was craving sugar all day and really crabby with the kids. It wasn't worth the few minutes of pleasure eating it. I will try to remember how I felt afterwards next time I'm tempted to eat junk food.

great another thread to keep up with. I know what you mean about getting crabby after eating sweets. I'm that way after drinking a coke. I know I should just give them up but can't/don't want to. I worked out 3 days this week and on one of them I felt like crap and didnt' want to be there. I was watching discovery health and they said it could be related to what I ate the day before. Even better reason to watch what we eat. We pay for it the next day too!! I am 170 and would like to be 135

I'm still doing OK. I've really been watching what and when I eat. Haven't worked out again yet. Need to so bad! My parents have four of our kids tonight so I should do it in the morning first thing. I really like having this thread to look at, though!

I went to a birthday party and only had 2 bites of cake!!! I was so proud to be able to throw away the rest. It was left over from my son anyway, but I didn't finish it, yay, big victory for me in the sweets dept.

I have been doing relatively well. I need to go grocery shopping though., I have no fruits or vegies in the fridge right now.

Okay I did Great at the start of the week and have now fallen off again!!! I really need help staying motivated after WEDNESDAY!!! UGHHHHHHHH!

I am glad to see everyone else is doing good though!

Count me in too. I don't make it to the gym but I do make it to the computer and the truth will be known. Trying to eat healthier but the chocolate bars late at night don't help!!!
