Hi everyone!

I'm new here, but better late than never I guess! I just posted in the "welcome" thread, but it's awaiting moderation.

My name is Raeanne, I'm 21, I live in WV and am expecting my second child in mid/end of May (I was very "late" last time and expect to be so again!)

This me at 34 weeks and 2 days with my daughter. I'm feeling very whale-ish and am so, so, so sick of being unable to sleep on my back!

Everyone looks amazing! Thank you all for sharing! :)

I thought where I had extra skin would be the last place I'd get stretch marks!

My midwife says they're genetic. Boo.

Yes, stretch marks are very much determined by genetics. I didn't get any with my previous babes, and with my last one, my skin was TIGHT by almost 41 weeks with a 10.5 lb baby. My mom had 9 kids and never got stretch marks. Unfortunately, I also inherited her varicose veins (as did all my sisters, even the one with no kids!). I am not sure which is worse!

Welcome Mngreyday!! You are looking great! I totally get what you mean about not being able to sleep on your back! I am a total back-sleeper. And I'm missing it very much! Not too much longer though!

Oy yoy yoy, I am almost 35 weeks and I still find myself waking up on my back in the middle of the night! And I don't have a little belly either! I always wake up that way, on my back, and I have no idea how long I am sleeping like that but I hope it's not that big of a problem. I'm always a tosser and turner in my sleep and pregnancy hasn't changed me.

Happens all the time. I'm  "only"  31 weeks but I'm not too worried about it. At one point it was giving me heartburn but things have been pretty easy lately. Knock on keyboard.

Welcome to the group, mngreyday! I definitely lay awake at night thinking about how much I can't wait to sleep on my back again! Haha!

Loogiejane, I wake up that way sometimes, but I figure if it was hurting something, my body would let me know. I mean, no one told cave mamas how to sleep and our species survived!

Jess, I have been thinking about a maternity band too.  Do you find it really helps?  I am just carrying this baby so differently than the first two (or maybe the muscles are just more tired and stretched out this third time) and my belly hurts!

um....yeah I think it helps. I don't have back pain, so I can't say anything about that, but it definitely helps lift my belly which feels like it's falling off of me. It takes pressure off my thighs and pelvis, too. My belly hurts, too :(

Thanks! Yeah I am down to about 3 shirts that mostly cover my belly, and I wear a white belly band underneath. I also have a skirt that has a nice wide band. I seem to be wearing the same things every day, but I could care less :)

I haven't needed it here recently, but there was about a month of time where the maternity band was so awesome as my belly just felt like it was going to fall off! I don't regret getting mine at all and may still need it again here at the end.

Yes! Exactly, I feel like my belly is just going to fall right off into my lap or something!

Thanks! I'm jealous you don't have stretch marks. I don't have any of the red ones on my belly (on my hips I do, though) but my belly is an intricate web of silver ones. I'm curious to see what they look like after my belly isn't so stretched out. I am going to wish I had worn a bikini more often pre-babies :)

I got the silver ones on my boobs with my first pregnancy but they really dont show now. I used some of that mederma scar lotion afterwards and I think it helped but mostly they just disapear really well on their own.

So beautiful lisathena!

Welcome mngreyday, looking good!

I get stretch marks and varicose veins, those luckily not too bad on either! I finally started getting some new stretch marks the past couple weeks on the bottom and sides of my belly and my thighs, stupid genetics smile.gif They usually do fade to almost not visible though, I know mine do.

Welcome greyday!

lisathena, gorgeous pic!

I haven't gotten stretch marks on my belly with either pregnancy (yet!), but I do have them on my butt. They appeared in puberty and I couldn't tell you if I got more or worse with pregnancies. I'd love to avoid them elsewhere, but I suppose if my body does them, they could appear on my front side too, especially in these last weeks of growth, and I am definitely bigger with this pg than last, so time will tell.

I SO miss sleeping on my back, its not comfortable for me at all now, so I can't do it accidentally. I am dreaming of the days when I can lay on my back with sleeping baby on my chest, such a wonderful thing!

Hot damn, we're a cute bunch of ladies.  Here's my most recent one, made even more special by my use of the camera's self-timer instead of a MySpacey mirror shot...

So cute! And I'm jealous that you can wear a skirt! I've long since reached the point where I'm just over wearing pants, but it's still frigid here in upstate New York!

So cute eepeepee!  (and ha at your myspace mirror pic comment.  I usually hate those but I've gotten lazy.  At least we're not making duck faces, right?)

Thanks ladies, you're sweet!

Phil's mama,  I m so thankful that it is warming up a little here.  Most of my pants sit too low (and my shirts aren't long enough) so I am needing to wear more dresses now.

Becky & EPP, you both look fabulous!!!

Phils, I wore skirts the whole time I was in FL, and was soooo happy! I really hate putting on pants now too. I am biding my time, I know its gonna warm up soon! I think I hears 70's for Thurs this wk, woo-hoo!
