Painful ovulation before first period 27 months PP??

Hey mamas!

So just when I was thinking I was never going to have a period again (DS2 is 27months), I started having sore nipples, breast tenderness, bloating and all sorts of pelvic discomfort that reminds me of period cramps but less "crampy" and more "heavy" and "pressure." I definitely think I am ovulating because I have been having the "egg white" consistency discharge for three days. Other than that, I have no real clue what's going on with me....any thoughts/ideas out there? Have any other mamas had especially painful ovulations before their first PP periods? My logic is that since its been so long since I have had a normal period (August 2009) that things are really rusty in there....don't know if that makes any sense? I'm a little worried simply because I am almost positive this is ovulation (mid-cycle) symptoms and not even time for my actual flow...is that normal? I have definitely experienced PMS right before a period but not this early in a cycle...except for maybe a twinge or two when the egg release, if you know what I mean!

Yup, that was my theory, too. I remember the first cycle back being definitely more noticeable and uncomfortable. Actually, I got my cycle back at 9 months with DD1 and I think 14 with DD2, and the longer wait was definitely more uncomfortable than the shorter one.

So I don't have any professional qualifications, but personally, I really do think there is a certain amount of "shaking the dust off" getting that cycle going again after a long hiatus!!
