Request for birth statistics thread « Back to Group Discussions

I'm kind of a stats nut and doing a lot of reading post partum made me want to just get an overview of the composition of our DDC, just for kicks. And that I work in finance but got in trouble for doing real work so thought this would engage my brain to get some percents and averages.

Here is what I would like to calculate, if anyone has another meaningful metric, I will add it. If you had multiples, just do one for each.

Home, hospital, or birth center
Vaginal or caesarean
Gravida para status: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gravida/para/abortus (including this birth)
Any word important to you/special circumstances (VBAC, breech, Waterbirth, UC, etc)
Gestational age
Weight
Sex

I haven't given birth yet, but wanted to say that i love this idea. Whenever i read the birth stories i always wish little stats like this would be included. I'll do that with mine when my little guy arrives!
