Hello all!  I figured that since kalamos hasn't been on in a while to update the roster, I would start a new one and update it.  If you would like to see the old roster, here it is! If I missed anyone, please let me know so I can fix any mistakes! Hope I am not stepping on anybody's toes! Just wanted to update so we have the most current list.  We can also post updates of the sex of the baby (when the time comes) for those of you finding out!

Thanks Jodie!  Just a slight correction to my info - 3 1/2 years of TRYING but there will be actually 7 years between my kidlets when this one is born.  Not that it really matters, but people might think my DD is horribly precocious if they think she's 3 1/2 when I talk about her!

Hi friends,

I never officially introduced myself. My name is Jean, and our fourth (surprise!) baby is due the last week or so of March. My husband and I love family life, so we were always open to more kids. I had home births with my first two, and then my third was a transfer for a c section (undxed breech). I am going for HBAC this time. We are unschoolers, and the kids are super excited about a new baby.

I am still nursing my 2.5 yo girl and it is really hard! Aaaaaaaahhhhhhh! Plus, I still feel pretty crummy, but I am optimistic about better days around the corner.

Hi Everyone!  I've been reading through the site and forums (particularly this one) for a few weeks now and it's 1:08 a.m. but I've finally found a little bit of time to at least join and give a little intro.  I think it's my first pregnancy forum. bouncy.gif   My EDD is March 29th, 2013 so I've just made it to 12 weeks as of Friday.

 

My name is Arianne and I'm a married 33yr old SAHM.  I grew up in Africa but have been in Oklahoma for 14yrs now (U.S. for 15+yrs).  I have a DS that will be 6 in just 3 days and a DD that will be 4 in October.  I homeschool them and have just started the intro. to 1st grade with my DS as of a couple of days ago and my DS keeps me busy with how fast she works through her preschool books, pages, etc. too. 

 

I am pregnant with our 3rd baby!  It happened on the first try whereas it took 4-6? months with each of the others.  We are excited and the children can hardly wait! :)  We haven't heard the heartbeat yet but hope to in the next few days.  Both of my births were by c-section (I now consider them to have been unnecessary) and this time around I'm PRAYING and hoping for a VBAC at home with a Midwife/CPM!  We met with her on Thursday and it seems like she's going to take me on as a patient! :)  I submitted insurance info. to her billing company today and should know in 3-5 days about my MW-specific coverages.  Healthwise, she's just wanting me to have my thyroid tested so we can see if I need to be on anything as I have a history of hypothyroidism.  *Do any of you Mamas have experience with it during pregnancy?*  I was really freaking out last night (still am) because I haven't had my levels checked since January? when my GP said even though my numbers were off/below the low end of the range that combined with my other levels he considered me to be fine and to recheck in 6 months (around now I think).  I haven't been on any meds for that long or longer which I was happy about until last night.  I know they say to try to read positive things when pregnant but I "had to know" and what I found out about hypothyroidism during pregnancy was not good.  horrors.gif I'm praying that my levels are (and have been?) good and that baby is fine.  After birth, we will be testing/watching for Coombs in the baby as DD had it when she was born and it's something that needs pretty swift treatment.

 

A little more about the birth plan/us:  We're still trying to decide whether to wait or find out the gender this time around.  I've always wanted my births to be natural, we choose not to vaccinate, I breastfeed and use raw goat's milk to supplement if my milk supply isn't high enough, we don't circumcise baby boys and plan on cloth diapering this time (first baby with me not working)...among other things.

 

Ok, I'll end this mini book now, haha!  I hope to see you around here in the next few months and wish one and all happy, healthy pregnancies!

I'm new here! Csection on march 26th but edd is march 28. #3. Completely surprise lol my name is angela. my husband and I have been married 9 years and have a five yr old boy and two yr old girl. We recently seperated from the airforce and moved back to his hometown in Arkansas. I'm nervous about three but know we wont be given more then we can handle. I'm a huge breastfeeding advocate, worked as a breastfeeding peer counselor over the last yr and loved every minute if it. I'm very excited about nursing again. Looking forward to getting to know you ladies! Its so nice haveing support!

I'm pretty new here too and just wanted to say "welcome"!  My DH and I have also been married just over 9 years and our son will be 6 tomorrow/Tue. and our daughter will be 4 in October.  I think it's great that you've been a peer counselor and are such an advocate for it.

Hi there Arianne! It looks like we have alot in common! Thank you for the support! I feel like I'm on a mission or something when it comes to nursing wink1.gif. Let me ask you since are kids are similar age and gender… do you have a preference with this baby? I'm really feeling like its a boy for me. That will make my son happy but in a way a girl would be closer in age to my daughter lol a boy means three seperate kids three years apart each.. but a girl means at least the girls can play lol oooh the places a pregnant brain goes lol

Hi There!  Really excited to find the March due date club.  My name is Becky and we have a surprise #4 on the way, due March 29 but will deliver by c section sometime earlier that week.  My other 3 are girls--ages 9, 4 and 19 months.  After recovering from the shock and surprise, we are excited about this baby.  I just hope for a healthy baby, no big wishes for boy or girl.  I've had LOTS of morning sickness with all of my pregnancies--right up until birth.  This pregnancy isn't any different, so I'm trying like crazy to figure out what will stay down when I eat and not wait too long in between eating, even if I don't feel good.  We live in Wisconsin and I have a music studio in my home where I teach piano lessons and other instruments.  I really enjoy being home with my kids most of the day and my sister watches the girls while I teach in the "after school" hours a few days a week.  Looking forward to lots of fun conversations!

Hi everyone! My mom, being a very natural sort of mom, recommended Mothering Magazine to me, and I am excited to find these forums filled with people that seem to have a similar perspective on pregnancy/birth/parenting. :) Here are some things about me:

 

  • EDD: Marcy 29th, 2013
  • Your Name: Cristie
  • Age: 34
  • State or Country: Washington State
  • How long it took to you to get your BFP: Second try - fortunately, I wasn't surprised, as my mom had warned me she'd gotten pregnant right away all three times, and my aunt on my dad's side said the same thing, so I knew it was likely to be quick! I was also fertility charting, so that helped. :)
  • What number child is this for you: First! Super excited. biggrinbounce.gif
  • Family (partner, other children, and/or furbabies): Husband of 11 months. He's 40, so was definitely ready for the kids to start coming, which coincided quite well with my own biological clock. :) We have a little concern about possible genetic issues just because of our combined ages, but have decided to forego testing and be open to what happens. We were pretty happy to hear the baby's heartbeat last week!
  • Baby's Gender (hopes or guesses): Fine with it being either, though we find ourself referring to the baby more as a "she," so who knows. We're planning to keep it a surprise.
  • Birth Plans/Preferences: Home birth, and we have some great midwives.
  • Anything else you'd like to share: I'm 13 weeks along now, and trying not to be too frustrated that I am still exhausted and still in that weird space of needing to eat so much food but not really *wanting* too (and never feeling that great). I am normally a pretty happy energetic person (though I do like my sleep!), and I'm ready to have some of that energy back. :)

My sonogram is next Thursday... Woo Hoo!!! I am so excited to find out the sex, I am totally loosing my cookies over the mystery, I want us to pick out a name and buy some clothes for this little bean. I will keep everyone posted to what we find out! 

 

My mom said "what if the baby is hiding its genitals..?" I promptly said, I will get off the table and do a handstand for a few minutes while jiggling and wiggling to move that baby around then! I know it sounds completely crazy, but I got to know... what are you baby!?
