Car Seat Carrier w/ Shoulder Strap?

My husband said he had one of these the first time around with his daughter, 10 years ago, and it was great for quick jaunts into the grocery store. Does anyone know if something like this is still made? It's not a separate strap you buy- it comes with this particular car seat carrier.

Something like this?  Words escape me, this is quite the contraption!

That's what I found when I did a google search, too. It sounds like the one my husband used to have is just like a regular carrier where the hard handle is actually soft and can be put on your shoulder instead of hand held.

Back when my dd#3 was born we had a fisher price safe embrace infant seat...it had a soft handle and was the narrowest infant seat available.  It was AWESOME.  Unfortunately they were discontinued!

At_the_hip- did yours have a base that stayed in the car? I looked it up and he says this one is not the same one. My quest continues! I just hope there's something like it on the market, still.

Yes, now I remember those AtTheHip. I was trying to remember which one it was. My daughter is almost 10 and I bought her FisherPrice seat on clearance several months before she was born because they had been discontinued but were considered really good seats.

I survived my first 2 kids just fine without an infant carseat- just used a convertable, and put the baby in a carrier on my chest when we'd do errands.  This time around I am getting an infant carseat.. it's going to be too tricky holding on to 3 kids as we walk out to the car everyday (we have a parking lot, not our own driveway/garage)

Carrying those infant carseats in any position is just not a safe way to bear weight imo, but it must be done at times, so I'm getting one of these handle cushions; my back may hurt but I'll save my arm a bit.

Ok, I found the real deal!!! This was the one.  http://www.epinions.com/reviews/Fisher_Price_Stay_in_View_Infant_Car_Seat Of course, it's discontinued. Amazon and ebay yield no results. Any pointers on any other way to find an out of production car seat?

That carseat would be way over the six year limit. I threw away my last Fisher Price Carseat 4 1/2 years ago due to it being too old. Mine was one of the last made and I remember that we were pushing the limits as by the time I could afford another it was well past the expiration :( They were good seats.

Aw, good point, camp- maybe we can find one with a soft strap currently on the market.

They were awesome seats but yes are long expired!  Sorry I should have added that.
