yeahthat.gif Add me to the list of masochistic overeaters. We went out for dinner last night and I decided what I wanted, then purposefully didn't get it and got a grilled chicken wrap instead and it was good, AND I felt great afterwards... so I KNOW what to do, but just watch... tonight at dinner I'll do it to myself again and be in pain on the couch afterwards.

Is anyone else stuffing themselves to the point of pain? I simply CANNOT control how much I eat at dinner and tonight asked DH if he would please remind me of THE INSANE PAIN I'd be in later if I got a second helping. My stomach feels like it's going to burst and I'm hunched over as I type this. My stomach feels a lot smaller this time around, but I still have an increased appetite if that makes sense. I don't even want to think about my stomach's capacity as this pregnancy progresses. Time to drink some tea and take to the couch!

Josie, maternity stuff looks silly on me right now, too. I'm sure our bellies will catch up in time!

HouseofPeace, if my DH read about your libido he'd be very jealous! I'm usually pretty horny when I'm pregnant but thus far sex has been unappealing to me for the most part. I'm usually in the mood in the morning, but of course that's not good timing for us as we have kids who climb into bed with us.

i tend to kick the kids out in the morning- or secretly lock the door.  or leave hubby in bed and make breakfast and sneak back in before he gets too far in getting ready for work.  carrying coffee and toast w/ jam, or cheesecake, yeah, he thinks me being pregnant is pretty much the best thing.  if he comes home at naptime, it's also nice.. but at bedtime I'm totally USELESS.  i just doze and snuggle.  probably due in large part to doing what you do at dinner!!!!

i am not super hungry most of the day, and graze (which i never do, i love big meals 2-3x a day) and then eat ridiculous amounts at dinner b/c i want more meat, more veggies, more limeade and bubbly water!!!  and then, all the rest of the night until bedtime, i bemoan the fact that my tummy is full, but i still want to eat.  just a munchie here or there.  i don't keep junk food or even snack food around, so i don't get anything, but i'm thinking and talking about it even though i just ate a 2,000 calorie meal (give or take a few eat.gif)

UGH!  just went to Target and tried on some maternity clothes, and felt like a large lumpy thing ALREADY, though i'm not even close to that big.  will try somewhere else next.  hate dressing rooms- those mirrors are so mean.  got giant panties (um, i have 41-42 inch hips before pregnancy, these things could be used for parasailing!) though being out without the crew of kids was such a treat!  and can i complain that Target no longer carries maternity panties?  um- the entire reason for my trip there was maternity panties.  so annoying.

and got new sheets and a couple of pillows so i can stop being grumpy that my husband has them all.  very proud of myself for that!

I have another one!  I am so hot!  I keep checking my temperature to make sure I don't have a fever.  No fever, just really, really hot.

This is such a helpful thread! I feel like a total mess -

- Is anyone else STILL having MS? Not every day, but at least a couple of days a week. Today I am massively nauseas, two days ago I threw up 3x during the night (same thing happened a week ago).

- Headaches - thought they were gone, but had a massive one all day yesterday and a few days ago.

- BH - not sure what they feel like. I've been having lots and lots of cramping - not really severe, just bothersome and almost continuous at times.

- Hip pain is UNREAL at night, radiates down the outer thigh - only relief is lying on my back which I know is a no-no.

- Acne - has gotten much better, but still get tiny pimples here and there on my chin

- Gassy - don't get me laughing too hard

- Appetite - ravenously hungry 24/7

- Shortness of breath - just started this past week

A few positives - no constipation or hemmorhoids...yet. No excessive hair growth, or edema. No stretch marks yet. Guess I have a few things to look forward to. AND - not quite at the half way point yet. (19 weeks 2 days - have 20 weeks 5 days to go, if baby is on-time).

Anyone else's nipples VERY sore still?

Mine are as sore as they were in 1st trimester, they constantly feel like when your first breastfeeding, and their so tender and almost feel cracked and raw, but they are slightly peeling, any ideas??

I am still nursing DD2 and my nipples and breasts are really sore again.  It went away for 2 months, but now it is back.

Heart burn and lack of sleep.  Oh and I can't eat that much, I get full quickly.    So far that's it.

Oh man.  It just keeps getting worse.  The almost total lack of milk makes the sensitive nipples that much more painful.  DD and I have managed to cut out the morning nursing session and nap and night nursings are getting shorter and shorter.  We're down to about 20 seconds on each side.  I tried some anti-fungal cream for a few days to see if I had an invisible yeast infection or something, but no improvement.  You might try that if you are seeing peeling skin on your nipples, though.  Pregnancy makes you more susceptible to yeast and other rashes.  For a really bad rash I always use both anti-fungal and antibiotic ointment, since there's often a secondary bacterial infection if the skin is broken.

I'm still having slight food aversions or sit down to eat and suddenly can hardly force myself to swallow, but for the most part my MS is gone.  But still can't brush my tongue at the end of my tooth brushing routine.  I usually fall asleep just fine and am not too uncomfortable at night yet, but if I wake up in the middle of the night I have a terrible time getting back to sleep.  I remember that from my first pregnancy - I was told it is your body preparing you for the coming months of sleep deprivation uhoh3.gif.  Ha Ha.  Not impressed.  I definitely have to be more careful with heavy lifting and too much vigorous activity that involves bending over a lot, or my hips/pelvis/lower back get super sore.  I'm on pregnancy medicaid and it actually covers chiropractic care, so I'm taking advantage of that and am in way less pain than I was at this point with DD.  Yoga also helps a lot when I can make the time for it.  All-in-all I'm feeling SO much better than I was first trimester that I really can't complain about anything.

Oh no! I heard rather late in my MS nightmare run that I should have tried accupuncture. Do you have anyone near you who does that?

I have a lot of hip pain from my pelvis injuries and scar tissue moving around. chiropractor is doing some good stuff with that but I think it's going to be an on-going maintenance issue for me.

Anyway, lots of sympathy for the MS stuff and pain. Hope this goes away really soon for you.

I've got mine back too! I've been sick in the morning a few times now @ 20-21 weeks

Mine too! I can't believe how much they hurt when I get even the slightest chill.

after showering, when i hit the cold air, immediate nipple pain. rubbing down with coconut oil helps, but still. i never expected that!

i checked my engagement/wedding ring (even though we're not married yet!) and the engagement ring is going to be stuck if i get edema. no swelling yet, except when i get really hot and sweaty then my hands poof up a bit. i had to take it off this morning. shake.gif

My only new complaint is this flu/cold I can't get rid of. I've been miserable all week. I'm taking everything under the sun that's safe to take to boost my immune system but nothing's working! At least I didn't have it as bad as DH. He had to go to urgent care yesterday morning because he couldn't breathe and got a nebulizer treatment.

Oh and another complaint too-- constipation is here in full force. I'm trying to stop hemmorhoids by using witch hazel on a cotton ball.

Speaking of constipation.. I don't know if this is constipation or what.. It just seems like my colon/rectum is lazy/weak? I don't get a very strong urge to 'go' and when I do, it just seems like my muscles won't contract to get the BM out. Sorry if TMI! I think I've read that progesterone causes the bowels to relax? Fun stuff, haha!

oh man, i am so glad that i don't have constipation issues (yet)! the prenatals that i take don't contain calcium, so i get my calcium elsewhere, which i believe helps me to not have that issue. i did have constipation when i was taking some prenatals before i was pregnant because of the calcium/iron combo and once i switched, i was fine.

josie, it sounds like constipation to me!

so- any solutions to the constipation/hemorrhoids?  i'm having the sluggish bowels too and picked up some magnesium supplements today (as usually PMS would also cause constipation and taking some magnesium often solved it then) and am waiting to see if it's okay to take an extra supplement.

i eat so many greens and veggies and still get horrible hard little pellets that don't want to come out!  UGH!!!

hmmmm- i don't know how much calcium my prenatals contain, but maybe should check.  they're not super high on iron either....  but since i get this way w/ PMS i figure it's progesterone.  and fiber in my smoothies on top of all the veggies hasn't helped.  very frustrating!!!

I did magnesium with my other pregnancies and it... sort of worked for me. If you're okay with drinking caffeine, that's the one thing that actually works for me. I don't drink coffee anymore so I can't use that trick, but yerba mate always makes me have to go to the bathroom. I also eat a lot of veggies and fiber and it doesn't seem to matter! Ugh.

I feel pretty great actually. I notice my body is different in weird ways, now, but I wouldn't really call them complaints.

Sleep is getting to be a little bit uncomfortble for me. And I can feel my internal organs are getting all squished around (especially the bladder and my stomach. Oy :)). But all of this is fine really, not painful, just different.

My first four pregnancy's were great. But this time I'm so swollen and bloated I look like I'm term already. It hurts to move around.
