Military Family Looking for info on Adopting in Florida

Thread Starter

Hello everyone,

I am in the Navy and will soon be stationed at Naval Hospital Jacksonville in Florida.  My wife and I (yes i'm the dad) recently had twins in January and are very much wanting to adopt in the future (maybe in a year or so).  I am aware of the many challenges that come along with adopting (legal, financial, etc) and I'm looking for any advise I can get from people who have gone through the adoption process or know about the process.  We don't have a great deal of money, but we are willing to save what is necessary.  I am especially interested to hear from anyone who went through the adoption process that is in the military, along with the benefits and challenges of military life.  We are open to both domestic and international adoption.

Any advise that can be given is greatly appreciated.

Thanks to all and God Bless.

Welcome and I am sure someone will be along to help you with specific advice. I'd  say to you that you are both very hearty for thinking of adding to your family already when you are still adjusting to twins! :)
