I am new here, hello to everyone and hope the best your way. I am seeking experience with those who use two (European) single blankets , like a twin basically, in a queen bed. Does it work? Its just for two people. I am worrying it wont be right, I've always used a big king duvet but it got ruined, and i guess i never knew i was a blanket hog so i am trying to solve that problem. I can wash the singles at home, i think it wont be too big for the machine but i am paranoid. Will they be too short if they dont tuck in and let cold air in? Am i overthinking? I plan on putting a blanket on the end to hold them in place . Will they bunch up in the middle between us and be stuffy and strange? Decisions..

I like each person having their own blanket.
We don't tuck blankets in so not sure on those issues. We just all kinda cuddle up in our own blanket. I like a much heavier blanket/comforter. Baby has a small throw size fleece blanket. Dh is so warm, he mostly uses just a sheet.post #4 of 109/21/12 at 12:14pmNot really sure about why you worry. Lots of Europeans sleep that way. We have three single blankets in our bed- one each parent, one for the big boy and the baby usually cuddles with me.

Hi!
I`m Norwegian, and have never used anything but single blankest. It`s what more or less everyone uses here.
It has never been a problem, and I bet you will feel just fine sleeping this way.

We use two kings size blankets in a king size bed. My boyfriend likes to wrap himself completely in the blanket. I like not having to fight to stay covered during the night, so we each get one blanket to ourselves. And I share with my daughter if she climbs in bed in the middle of the night. We never make the bed though.
Thanks everyone
. Where would we all be without each others support? Its so reassuring to hear others experiences. post #8 of 1010/25/12 at 9:21am- kayleesmom

Yep two blankets here too! Although DH sleeps with a Queen size comforter, I sleep with a king size duvet and we are in a king bed. Most days I don't make the bed, but when I do I put his blanket down first, then my kind duvet (no cover) and then I put on our nice king comforter set to pretty it all up :)
