THis is not about me at all. One day I was at work when a woman with her four yearold daughter came in to my store. Within 5 minutes the girl was on the floor throwing a tantrum. The mother very calmly sat down on the floor next to her. The girl looked at her. Then cried some more. Then stood up and tried to ge ther mom to stand up. Them mom just stood (or sat i guess) her ground until her daughter had calmed all the way down. I loved it. No matter who was staring at her she did not yell or anything. No secret arm squeeze just plopped on the floor. It worked awesome. I always try to remember this for when my kid gets older.
