Hip replacement v's amputation

Having read through the thread and seeing that some one has written to get the leg amputated-How absolutely cruel of you to say so.  If you take on any animal you take them on regardless of thecost-Otherwise dont get one.  My cat fell out of a 2nd floor window and is now having a hip operation.  It is costing £1400 money I dont have but money that I am borrowing and consequently having to move out of my apartment to pay back to friends who I am lending the money off.

I am not insured and as him falling out of the windown was my fault and me not having insurance was my fault I have a duty of care to pay for the best, most effective treatment and that is a replacement hip.  I would sooner starve than get my cats leg amputated because its cheaper.

Maybe your shouldnt own animals if this is your attitude.

I had a 3 legged cat for 16 years.  As a kitten she had to have it amputated. The leg could not be saved.  It is not a cruel option.
