Can I complain for minute?

I have way too much to think about.  We are relocating with my MIL because she has health issues. Because of this and baby coming we have to trade in for a car we can get everyone in.  And I have to plan her move as far a as trucks, storage, etc. Then plan our move and getting all the cars a few states away. Oh, and my husband has to get a job.

And then find a rental we can all agree on.  and then i have to find a place and person to help me birth this baby.  And someone to take care of my son while I do.  

All of this is possible, much of it will be fun and thrilling. Life will be better afterwards, blah, blah, blah.  Right now I just want to have a safe place with people I know so I can make a baby though.  All the rest of this is just a distraction...

Wow, that IS a lot.

What state are you moving to, if it's not being too nosy?  Is it somewhere you've lived before or is it a completely new area?  Do you know anyone there?  Could you perhaps meet some folks online before you move, some new-mommy groups or anything like that, so you already have a little network before you arrive?

I am moving to NC, i think.  Not sure where yet because it depends on my husband's job offers.  We may be closer to some family and have one friend in the state.  We are networking like mad through facebook and linkedin, but since we don't know where exactly, I haven't joined meetups groups or anything.

You know- I'll only be, what, 7 or 8 months pregnant?  There will be plenty of time when we get there to meet people! :)  Le sigh....

I am trying not to take the brain hurting on my husband or son and I can't be too negative about the whole thing to my friends here because I will then lose myself in negativity about it.

It really isn't a bad thing at all.  The timing is just a little crappy.

Go ahead and complain away - that is a lot on your plate!

We moved once when I was pregnant with DS1, and again when DS2 was only 4 weeks old. It sucked! And both times we were moving to familiar places with family and supports already in place. Good luck with everything, I hope it all goes as smoothly as possible for you!

Oh Ms Rabbit!  You are a saint.  I've told them if we get past November I am not moving until baby is 4 months old.  Now way, no how!  My son came early with no help of lugging boxes and driving trucks around the country.

if it makes you feel any better my 3.5 year old locked himself, his brother and myself in the smallest room of the house for 2.5 hours yesterday. That's what I did rather than pack...dude I am so tired!
