What Are You Reading Lately?

Hey Y'all :)

I'm a newbie to this entire forum *waving* and reading is one of my favorite things to do--I am never, ever, never, ever without something to read!

I just finished a re-read of 'Nights of Rain and Stars' by Maeve Binchy. Twas my 'in honor of' reading after Maeve passed away this past July (I think it was). She was such a wonderful storyteller, I've enjoyed every book of hers.

I'm hoping to get to the library in the next few days--before my fines reach 'build a new wing' status!!

So, tell me, what're you reading lately?

I just finished the most charming book: "The Night Circus" by Erin Morgenstern (sp?) A really marvelous fairy tale of a story. I recommend it!

I just read "When She Woke" by Hillary Jordan ... a dystopia similar to Handmaid's Tale mashed up with The Scarlet Letter. It was un-put-down-able!

House of Stone by Anthony Shadid.  It was absolutely wonderful!!!  Such a loss that he died of asthma, he was a great journalist!

Finished reading Finding Fish last night. I couldn't put it down. I finished it at 3.30 pm. Too sad.

I've been on a huge paranormal romance kick lately. It's so hard to put them down. I just ordered the book Rubenesque Rapture on Kindle last night. Nearly finished with it, and it's great.

I have discovered a wonderful series called a cup of comfort. They have a couple comfort for parents of children with autism, a couple comfort for nurses, and others I think there's like over 30 books in the series. It's a wonderful anthology to read if you like short stories.

Rereading Game of Thrones series again.  It is a joy to read George R. R. Martin's words, characters, trickery, mystery, sex, intrigue and the human experience.  I am amazed how well he portrays women and personalities.

My best reads lately are The Sparrow, Wolf Hall, and Love Walked In. 

This thread has sent me off to the library website for some Inter Library Loaning!
