Thinking about moving to St Joseph, MO. Tell me all about it?

We live in Lawrence, KS, which is a crunchy mama haven and is practically perfect in every way. My husband has a job opportunity in St, Joseph and we're seriously considering taking it, for a lot of reasons. So, tell me what you can about St. Joe! I don't expect it to be as super fantasticly amazing as Lawrence, but I hope it's a town we'll like.

I live about 40 minutes north of St Jo, but it is where we go to do any big shopping or anything. Doesn't have a ton of stuff in this area, but getting more all the time. One good person to contact would be Dr. Crystal Greene at Greene Family Chiropractic. She is working on doing more and more community events aimed toward natural kids and families. There is also a birth center supposed to be in the works. (Much needed...Heartland Hospital is an absolute NIGHTMARE) Anyway, I would contact Dr Greene as she is very involved in the community and may be able to give you good info.
