Is anyone else considering swimming lessons for their little ones?

Patrick hates baths, but we have a pool in the backyard, so we think that swimming lessons are important. Has anyone else done lessons with their babies?

We haven't yet, but I plan to start before 6 months.  I guess I should get on that.  :\  I really intended to get her in the pool more this summer, but it didn't happen.

We started Parent&Tot at the Y a couple months back. They sing songs and just get them comfy in the water. Because she was/is so young, I had to do my own research on getting her face in the water. There's an Australian grandfather with his granddaughter on YouTube where I got a lot of my cues. I started with pouring water on her face in the bath with the cue (1-2-3-go). Now, she goes under with me for 2-3 seconds.

BubbleMa, that's EXACTLY why we wanted to start them. Those videos are both awesome and scary.
