If you haven't already done it, I found it was a lifesaver to have frozen pads in the freezer. I had a bunch of leftover giant incontenance pads from a friend (maybe depends?) and those were fine, I sprayed them with a calendula/wichhazel/water mix till about 1/4-1/2 saturated, and then would change them when the pain returned lol. They were absorbent enough they'd hold the melted liquid and my flow. I bled for about 6 weeks, then got my first period lol so that sucked. I used frozen pads I'm sure for the first week and then continued using giant pads till I ran out. I had some mama cloth as well that I started using as I was getting irritated with sticky pads or something, but it took a few weeks till they bothered my crotch. I haven't actually heard anything bad about the dry weave but have about the always brand, though I did buy some of the bulkier always pads to try this time anyways as they were the cheapest. I wouldn't be surprised if there's an irritating chemical in the thin always because those are just soooo thin there must be something awful in them ha ha. I bought poise overnight long incontenance pads this time and a bag of always thick pads and still have some other random ones left from 2 years ago. I should get to freezing them soon! I also have a few pairs of depends underwear from my MW and honestly remember them being awesome but I couldn't bring myself to buy more of them the other day when I was looking, and figure I have enough other things anyways. I might not bleed as much this time if I'm lucky.
