Birth Preparation Formulas?

Does anyone have any experience with using a birth preparation formula? My midwife suggested a few at our last appointment, but I've never taken that type of supplement before. She suggested Polly-Jean's 5 week formula, Birth Prep 6 week formula, or another 5 week one made by a midwife named Kathy Ward (which I can't find any info on). I'd live to hear anyone's experience taking these to prepare for birth.

I have heard Kathy Wards, my sister in law used it.  She always went very late when she took that stuff, like almost 3 weeks over.  Subsequent babies were born a couple days late, but the ones she tried to "prepare" for were dangerously close to CS she went so far overdue.  Its possible it helps some women, but like anything, it can have the exact reverse effect, it just depends on the person, and in my sister in laws case, it went very backwards from what she was hoping, so I wouldn't use them.

My midwife likes us to start a cal/mag/citrate vitamin, chloropyhl (sp) vitamin, and drink RRL/Nettle tea towards the last month.

I've heard some great things about this formula  http://www.mountainmeadowherbs.com/Gentle_Birth_p/g1030.htm  The reviews were pretty great.  I've never used any kind of herbal birthing preparation before.  But I'm really tempted to try this one.
