Agression in 3.5 YO....need some help!!

I have a wonderful 3 YO DS who has always been a very spirited and intense child.  I gave always tried to practice AP, and prided myself on our attached relationship.  However, since the birth of DS2 4 mths ago, he's started showing some really agressive behaviour-hitting, pushing, biting, demanding things "right now" and screaming at the top of his lungs etc,  This is usually when he doesn't get his way, or when he's asked not to do something; i.e. lick the baby or scream in his ear.  The agression is usually directed towards me or baby, which I know is a jealousy thing.  My question is, how do I stop this?? I am becoming less and less patient, and find myself wondering if my gentle approach is working.  He doesn't seem to care that hitting hurts mummy's feelings, doesn't seem to respond to things like "feeling angry is ok, hitting/biting is not".....so what now?? what should I do when he hits??  I feel devastated that his anger is directed at me, and also feel like maybe gentle discipline isn't working for us.

Welcome to MDC! I'm not familiar with it myself, but I've seen a book called "The Explosive Child" recommended on this forum before. I'm bumping up your post for attention. Anyone have suggestions to share?
