Car Seat help - 2008 ford focus four door

Hi ladies,

Right now I am shopping for a new car seat or start tucking back cash for a car seat for a brand new baby due in May. I have a ford focus 2008 and right now my son is is in a britax frontier and I am looking for a convertible car seat to put behind me (5'1). Option for rear facing to 2 or longer. Anyone have a ford focus and have a convertible car seat they can recommend? My price limit is under 400.00.

I do not have the budget to get a new car though!

My son was 6 lbs 10 oz when born and 21 inches long

So this baby will be in the same, hopefully, range as my son was.

Is this for a new/upcoming baby or for a baby that is older and outgrowing the infant seat or what? It matters because some car seats fit newborns and others don't. :) Baby's age/height/weight would be helpful.
