Here's a calm discussion for the reasons behind some of the scary sounding ingredients:

A quote from it to get you started:

Quote:
You don't have to go to the antivaccine web sites to find this horrifying list of witch's-brew ingredients. The Centers for Disease Control publishes a detailed list of every additive in every vaccine, sorted both by ingredient and by vaccine. I run my eye down this official list: formaldehyde, aluminum phosphate, ammonium sulfate, bovine extract, thimerosal, amino acids, even monkey kidney tissue. This list is published by the very same government that's assuring us these vaccines are safe. How can that be? Does this mean the antivaccine activists are right, and vaccines are indeed loaded with deadly toxins?

I read the article  http://skeptoid.com/episodes/4180

I did not hate, it but is was definitely pro-vax slanted.

I felt they whitewashed the issue of abortion in relation to vaccines.  They did not even mention humans in their summary of fetal matter.

The cell line of two aborted fetuses  are used in the production of vaccines (they were not aborted for vaccine usage).

Here is a mainstream link on the issue:

Some people may care, many will not, but everyone has the right to know and decide.

I would take a look at this article for another viewpoint on aluminum, from an alternative schedule proponent:

I'm unable to open it. What's the CDC's rationale for these ingredients?

it says this on the top of the page:

Vaccine Excipient & Media Summary
Excipients Included in U.S. Vaccines, by Vaccine
This table includes not only vaccine ingredients (e.g., adjuvants and preservatives),
but also substances used during the manufacturing process, including vaccine-production media,
that are removed from the final product and present only in trace quantities.
In addition to the substances listed, most vaccines contain Sodium Chloride (table salt).

All reasonable efforts have been made to ensure the accuracy of this information, but manufacturers may change product contents before that
information is reflected here.  If in doubt, check the manufacturer’s package insert.
