You look so cute!  I was a lot bigger with my son than  my daughter, which made a lot of sense after he was born, because he was a bigger baby!  Your son might very well be bigger too -- if only because he's a boy, but also maybe your husband was a bigger baby or is a bigger/taller guy than your prior partner, etc.    It will be very interesting to see!  At the same time, a lot of women say they just get bigger with subsequent pregnancies (because of abs weakening etc) but I haven't -- this third belly is my smallest yet -- so who knows!  Either way, you look lovely.

Thank you!!! :-) I have a feeling Zach will be bigger than DD was. She was 7lbs 8oz, so not tiny, but not huge either. I think he'll be at least 8lbs. DH was born at 34 weeks, and was very small but is tall now. He's a little taller than DDs biological father, I think. My abs are definitely weaker now, too, so it might be a little bit of everything! It'll be fun to see how big he is.

33 + 1 today!

And a cleavage shot, too. Belly sure doesn't look that cute from the side!

Today we did maternity photos. I wasn't going to do them because....well, I dunno, but my brother's friend offered to do them for free to build her maternity portfolio. It was freezing cold (poor husband had purple hands!) but I was perfectly fine. I guess my body temp is up a few degrees :) Here's one teaser she sent us:

This is 29 weeks, 2 days.

I must say, I'm already glad we did them, despite the awkwardness of getting photos taken. I had NO idea what I looked like from far away! I can't wait to see the rest.

(Plus I just really wanted to have a reason to buy giant balloons!)

Anyone else plan on getting maternity photos taken?

That is such a cute picture!

I would like to get them done, but I don't know any local photographers, and probably cost prohibitive, anyway. But I would like to.

That is SO cute!!!! My BFF was going to take some photos over the weekend, but the kids kept us too busy. We joked about going near Lake Michigan and having me wear a underwear sports bra and strike a sexy pose on an ice-covered rock or making a baby snow man and holding it in front of my belly. The laughs at the ideas of all the awful pics we COULD take were almost as great as actual pictures would have been :-)

These were taken yesterday at 34 weeks exactly smile.gif

I LOVE my belly smile.gif too bad people just can't seem to get over the fact that it isn't humongous... I'm SO tired of it. And yesterday someone told me I didn't even look pregnant! Seriously? Umm does that mean I look like this NOT pregnant? LOL RUDE!

I keep my ring on a chain around my neck all the time, lol. I do a lot of messy work (breadmaking, gardening, etc.) that tends to get crud jammed into the inside of it if I wear it on my finger, plus I just love not having to worry about losing it ever! :P

Loving all these pictures! BeanBean, people are always telling me I look small, too. Annoying, but it seems people feel like they have to say *something*, and so rarely consider how it sounds! That said, HOW RUDE was that comment!! Seriously! Your bump is DEFinitely a sweet baby-bump shape and not just a fat shape, LOL. You are looking super cute!! <3

Oh my goodness Jessmn, that is an adorable shot!  And you look so great!

Beanbean, you're looking mighty cute too!  I think you look perfectly pregnant.  You seem pretty long-torsoed (no?) so it doesn't surprise me you're carrying on the smaller side.

Here I am at 33w2d.  It's a little blurry for some reason.

My daughter photo-bombed this set of pics so you can see what my belly looks like relative to the size of a 5-year-old's head LOL:

At sixteen and twenty-eight weeks. I am 31 weeks now. We have this crazy idea to get a pic of me in the same clothes with the hoop at 40 weeks (or as close to birth as possible) as well!!

Thanks!! I think this photographer is actually pretty good, but I wasn't sure of her skills before we got into it (she's my brother's coworker and did them for free). But I went into it with a few specific pictures I wanted, let her do whatever she wanted and hoped for the best. I wanted the balloons shot, one of us holding an ultrasound pic up close and us blurred, and one with wooden blocks spelling the babies' names. So if you go with a newbie or a student or something, I would recommend at least having specific ideas! We once found someone on craigslist for $100 to take photos of us in the springtime with the cherry blossoms and not all were great but most were really cute!

Thanks!! OMG that would have been so funny! There are some super ridiculous pregnancy photos out there for sure. But depending on how your partner is, that would be really funny to give as a gift :P

Thank you! I hope you aren't as shy as we were in front of the camera. We felt sooooo awkward! I looked up ideas on Pinterest and online in general before going, so at least I knew a little bit of what to expect. I just didn't know if I should smile or look contemplative when I or the both of us were instructed to look at my belly. haha!

I hadn't thought of a chain - I almost feel like I'd be MORE likely to lose it! But maybe that's not the case! I definitely think this will be the last week of wearing it...

People are SO WEIRD. I feel like they think they are giving compliments when it's just....not working at all. I guess people are just awkward! haha. I definitely think you look pregnant.

Where did you get that shirt, btw? I like the colors! I've seen something similar at Old Navy but I don't think that's it?

That is a really fun idea! I can't believe you can still hula hoop! Where does the hoop land exactly - on your belly, above or below it?

Thanks smile.gif and yep it's old navy! That's the one smile.gif I have the side tied up tight tho cuz I got it a size up thinking I would be bigger by now lol so it's a little big without the sides tide tight.

And as for the photo shoot, it is awkward. But we had a big photoshoot back in August and at first we were nervous but then really had a good time and we got some amazing pics smile.gif it was also technically our first "maternity" shoot! Since we had no idea but I was abt 6 weeks pregnant when we had it done smile.gif they are such special pics to us now and I'm SO glad we did them smile.gif

I love your obviously pregnant bump!

If it makes you feel better, last night I went over to my mom's house, and my brother was coming up with different ways to say I am really big; "Well, you obviously don't have a tapeworm." "*Someone's* eating well." etc. He spent about 5 minutes doing that. That being said, that's just the way my brother is, and (usually) when he says those types of things, it's more funny to me than upsetting. (He's got Asperger's Syndrome, so I sometimes wonder if that's part of the reason.)

Awe thank you! That is what my husband is always telling me I'm perfectly pregnant smile.gif lol and yes I do have quite a long torso! Non-pregnant a lot of shirts are way too short I usually have to wear a long fitted tank underneath!

And I LOVE your bump! Tattoos & preg bellies are so adorable smile.gif

Awe that's not nice greensad.gif but I understand my brother has autism and every time I see him he kisses my belly and tells the baby to stop making is sissy fat! Lol and then says she needs a time out LOL I agree I don't get offended... I always laugh lol

Well, at sixteen weeks I could still pretty much hoop any which way, but it was starting to get uncomfortable to hoop right at my belly. At twenty-eight weeks I wasn't really doing a whole lot of hooping, but what I did for the photo shoot was all hip and knee hooping and off-body tricks...definitely nothing around my middle. At full-term I will be doing good I think to keep it up on my hips long enough to get some good shots without being totally out of breath...but we shall see. I did start off this pregnancy much more in shape than with my little dude (I was doing regular hooping and bellydancing this time around)...so that has definitely helped I think in general overall health and weight gain (just under 20 pounds so far at 31 weeks...and pretty much holding steady at this point).
