Anyone showing yet? - Page 2

I am at 6 weeks 2 days.  For me, I am showing.  I always do early  My bras don't fit.  My jeans still do, but I look puffy and chubby.  We haven't officially told anyone yet, beyond our 3 kids (11, 9 & 6).  We told them today. I miscarried at 8 weeks in late 2010, so DH didn't want to tell them for a bit but I couldn't hide it from them any longer.

We weren't expecting anymore, as I am almost 40 and my husband will be 52 in October.  I have a DSS who will be 30 next year and has a DD and DSD of his own.

I think I'm definately showing now.. Everything is uncomfortable to wear.. Luckily my clothes were all too big to start with but I'm definately starting to altho feel proud of my lil bump, get paranoid about my weight going up.. Didn't expect to be so paranoid when I knew there was a baby in my tummy.. I've only got to this stage of preg twice before and each time miscarried and I was already bleeding by now.. Quite scary this time round as I'm really starting to believe it!

Boy, DH is full of 'em these days!  I have another one.

Friday DH and I were headed to a friend's birthday dinner.  I was wearing a more fitted tunic with leggings and a jacket over top.  I said to DH, "I can really see the difference today, can you?"  His reply..."You just look like you've been out drinking and then went for pancakes." ROTFLMAO.gif

I have 3 work weeks (all of them short at least) to keep this on the DL before my 12 weeks scan.  Wish me luck and the presence of mind to suck it in around my boss! lol.

Hahaha, that's awesome smile.gif My DH is just amazed how much my body has changed so much sooner than last time.

Our administrative assistant was giving my belly the side-eye the other day. Maybe I will end up telling early at work, our firm is so small, it wouldn't be that big of a deal. I dunno, we'll see how it goes, I think I am going to look like this for awhile, that "Is she pregnant or just fat?" stage. Luckily it is always freezing in our office, so with my extra sweater on and a coat to go out, it isn't too obvious at work.

Haha, the fall weather is helpful in covering things up.  I've started walking down the hall with a coffee cup or a book in front of my tummy.  Also, making a point to get to meetings early so I am sitting down when others come into the room.

Every time i get up from my desk to walk anywhere (bathroom, meetings, fridge) I have been sucking in my belly to look less pregnant. I can't believe how bloated/bigger I am at only 8 weeks!

It really is bizarre, I need to take a picture and then post it next to some of my pictures from my first pregnancy!

I keep doing the whole routine where I look in the mirror from the front, and everything looks normal.  Then I turn sideways!

DH did the same thing looking at me last weekend.  LOL.

DD can tell too, she is constantly patting my tummy saying, yup you are getting bigger mommy.  Thanks DD!  Thanks a lot!!!  Remind me of this in 20+ years for yours!

I am anxious to see everyone else's bellies, so I will throw my own out there.  I am 9w1d with my third pregnancy.

[Broken link]

For reference, I am 5'6" and around 215 pounds.  I'm by no means a small gal, but man, I am not sure if hiding this until Halloween is going to happen, lol.

TJ - Me too!!

Jaqueline, so you told your DD? That is great!

I walked by the mirror yesterday and was like, oh my! I went to dh and said "the neighbors are going to start to notice". Baggy, loose tops for me! I can't sit in any of my pants without unbuttoning them, except for one pair that is super low-rise. I am really having trouble embracing this expansion so early, even though I am excited to have a pg belly, wtf is wrong with me? Ah yes, I remember, pregnancy makes you crazy too! nut.gif

So, getting a baby bump I can handle and am actually excited about.  But the extra weight on my hips and butt that seems to have settled on there for the long haul kind of has me down.  At this point, that is where the difference is most noticable.  Ah well, it's only 9 months...

I'll try to post a pic later.

We were at an informal business meeting and DD2 keep rubbing and kissing my tummy.  She did this while I was pg with DS but she was only 2 1/2 at the time.  Now she is 9.  I had to tell her that right now, it just looks funny, especially because this was the first time we met face to face these restaurant owners and I just look swollen right now, not pg!

Actually the meeting people for the first time regarding business has happened a LOT in the past week and I just feel frumpy. Sheepish.gif  Can't wait to be able to tell people so they don't think I am nuts or hitting the wine and cheese a little bit much.ROTFLMAO.gif

Ok, so here is a picture from yesterday, sorry it is a bit blurry:

And here is a picture from me at 20 weeks in my first pregnancy:

They are eerily similar, no? I need to figure out where that maternity shirt is from the second photo, I like that one smile.gif

Very similar!  I was just saying to my husband that I don't think I was this show-y until around 20 weeks with my last.

Edit:  Also, it makes me giggle because baby is approximately the size of a grape (I'm 9w2d).  I'm sporting a mansion for a grape!

Agreed, at least the timing of the weather is on our side right now!

Personally I am having to steer clear of certain items of clothing already because I try them on and realize folks will be asking that "pregnant of gaining weight?" question and I'm really not ready for that yet.  I am surprised this is already happening because I'm only 6 weeks... I don't remember feeling this way with DS until around 14 weeks.

I'm game for the belly photos... do we have a separate post for them?  Should we start one?  There's nothing too much going on yet, but I can feel a difference in how my pants fit for sure, and even shirts this last week.

Five weeks:

Six weeks (this morning!):

Thanks, Quinalla, for the image posting help! :)

If you do "copy image URL" after right clicking on the image (or going to the image url and copying it from your browser) then use the image insert magic button, that should work as that is how I did it smile.gif

Haha, I know right. My DH is worried I have twins in there (me too a little!)
