Jeanblu - you look great!

AFM:  When DH came home last night, I was already in PJs (tank top and jammie bottoms) and he said "You're starting to get a cute little pooch."  love.gif  I'm starting to feel a bit "thick" in my work clothes.  I may not be able to hide it as long as I thought!

So cute jeanblu!

I felt like i was pooching out then MS hit.  Boo.  I can wear my jeans buttoned again in the morning.  I'd much rather have a bump than MS.

Me too! It helps that I normally walk around with a mug of tea or snacks, and need to bring a laptop everywhere. I was thinking about this yesterday as I carried the laptop across my belly!

As this is my 1st, I think DH and I are the only ones who can tell at this point (10w1d). It seems like a huge difference to me, though! Good thing most of my pants were too big in the waist to start with - I have 3 pairs of "fat pants" which are now just the right size in the waist. I'm about to break down and get a bella band so I can extend my normal pants as long as possible. My two favorites (including cords, perfect for our fall weather) are getting a bit too tight by the end of the day.

Thanks everyone for the belly pics. I've been thinking of starting to document my own, so you all just gave me the kick I needed.

My tummy pooch has definitely grown. Pants are impossible to button later in the day. Early they will button but I cant sit down! Probably mostly due to how much i have been eating rather than tiny baby.

No breast increase yet. Definitely wanting that!!! Has anyone else not experienced any boob growth? Hoping it can be normal!

Still not much action in the boob department here either.  Maybe a tiny bit but not much.  Wish it would hurry up!

I changed into different jeans this afternoon and wow, can't get anywhere near buttoning these ones.  I made a Belly band a few weeks ago but I sized it wrong so I gave it to a friend.  I need to make another one now because maternity jeans are still too big.

Button-down shirts are noticeably straining a bit around the ol' boobs!

So I broke down and bought a pair of jeans two sizes up. redface.gif I'm not ready for maternity jeans yet, and even with a bella band, I was super uncomfortable in my regular jeans!

Well, I have officially hit the awkward phase where maternity clothes are too big/look ridiculous and my regular clothes make me look and feel chubby. Can't comfortably wear my pre preg jeans anymore, so as of now I am sticking to leggings and baggy tunics. Wore a fitted one to church tonight and felt VERY self conscious about my pooch. Part of it is my own crazy body image crap-o-la (insert- blame my mama for that one). I've decided that I'm going to feel good about my body, feed it healthy foods and TRY to get some exercise each day. It's looking like the exercise thing may actually be able to happen since I am rounding out of morning sickness woes (yay!). 11 weeks tomorrow, and looking forward to seeing homebirth midwives on Tuesday smile.gif

Jaqueline, so you told your DD? That is great!

I walked by the mirror yesterday and was like, oh my! I went to dh and said "the neighbors are going to start to notice". Baggy, loose tops for me! I can't sit in any of my pants without unbuttoning them, except for one pair that is super low-rise. I am really having trouble embracing this expansion so early, even though I am excited to have a pg belly, wtf is wrong with me? Ah yes, I remember, pregnancy makes you crazy too! nut.gif

Yes, we finally told DD.  So glad we did too.  With me being even more sick, I could not have hidden it from her.  "Mom, why are you so green?  It's not Halloween yet."

And YES, pregnancy does make you crazy!!

Totally with you on this one.  I am so there.

I've been wearing yoga style pants (my normal clothes since I work at home).  I actually put on a pair of regular fitted pants on Thursday....  I prepared myself for days beforehand for them to be too small.  But they FIT!  Better then before..wth?  DH said they actually look better, my hips are slimmer even if my belly is a bit bigger.  I have been losing weight instead of gaining.  It helps when nothing, not even water, goes down the right way greensad.gif   I'm nearly 9 weeks.  I'll post a picture when there is something to show other than pale pale skin with silver stretch marks!

Sure, my first pregnancy, my boobs didn't grow right away, though they looked and felt weird on and off (prominent veins, nipples and areola changing color, etc.), probably didn't grow much until 2nd tri and then a lot in the 3rd tri. This pregnancy, everything is happening so much faster. I had maybe one week of that awkward phase of clothing, right into maternity clothes this time! It took me forever to fit in maternity clothes last time.

I officially broke out the Bella Band today!  There is now definitely a little bump-ette.

Works fine for these pants, the problem is that with my other pairs they are tight through the butt and hips as well.  So, right now I have one pair of jeans and one pair of black pants to wear.  Thankfully I don't really like wearing pants so me wearing dresses and skirts to work and leggings with long tops or tunics is the norm anyway.  And I really do despise maternity pants, generally.  On me at least they are so unflattering and not very comfortable!

I went bra shopping on the weekend - a bra that fits is SO much more comfortable.  I am up a band/cup size, and just bought 2 bras since I know they could change size again before this babe is born.

Yeah, I just bought two new bras as I needed to go up another cup size. Hopefully they are done getting bigger for awhile!

Boobs! I've got them! I wear these soft no-wire foam cup bras and my boobs finally fill them. It is awesome :p However, if they keep growing, I'm screwed, because it's impossible for me to find bras that fit me right - my breasts are really wide set on my chest so they never line up with where the cups are on normal bras. Seriously, I have worn the same 2 bras for the last 5 years (please don't think I'm gross) because it's so hard to find new ones that fit.

I've been thinking about a bellaband, seeing as I've started having to unbutton my pants when sitting down for long stretches ... I hope I am as sneaky as I think I am when doing this, you know, in class or at Panera. HA! Someone who's used one before, do you have problems with them rolling up in the back? I have a shall-we-say shapely derriere and I'm afraid it would roll right up over my waistband.

I was concerned about this issue as well, since long tanks tend to migrate from my hips to my waist. I just ordered the "new" version of the Bella Band with silicone on the edge which is intended to keep it stuck on your pants. It should be arriving tomorrow and then I can file a report!

Same here on the booty, and I am having that problem with my band, have to adjust every time I stand up. Although I bought the Be-Band at Target, so perhaps I got the cheap-o version?

Oh, I'm glad you mentioned that - was thinking about one of those too, since they are cheaper. The Bellaband seems kind of expensive for what seems like a pretty basic product ... although I can see the sense if it lets you wear your same pants for a lot of the pregnancy.

I used them a lot and yes, they needed to be readjusted periodically but it wasn't terribly bothersome to me.  I have used Bella Bands and the BeBand from Target and didn't find a big difference.  I haven't tried the new Bella Band though.  I should also add that I am pretty straight (not curvy) so that probably impacts the way they fit me.

Also, my hips spread A LOT in pregnancy so I do end up wearing them a lot at the beginning and afterward but my pants don't fit the whole way through with them (hmmm, and my thighs get too big for my regular jeans).  It is also nice toward the end, when every shirt is too short, to have something to pull over your belly.

The bella-band/be-bands never worked well for me, I was better off using long tank tops or camis or just longer shirts over unbuttoned pants and best for me during awkward time my first pregnancy was just buying pants a size or two up and wearing skirts that I could just let sit a bit higher on my waist than normal. I have a big butt and decent sized hips, so yeah the band always rolled up or was uncomfortably tight. The thing to stick it to the pants might help though, that's a good idea. I think it is worth getting one of the cheaper ones to try it because if it works for you it can really be great for saving $$ on clothes.

Ya, it may depend on body type.  I used my Bella Bands a tonn with DS.  It allowed me to stay in my regular pants until I was about 24 or 25 weeks along (ya, not going to happen this time) and was good to cover the tummy when maternity shirts got short at the end.  I had to re-adjust periodically but didn't really have the rolling issue.  I do often find long tanks roll up though.
