OT- Gifts for Post Partum Friend

Thread Starter

I have a friend that had her third baby earlier this month and I would like to give her some kind of gift. She is pretty crunchy so I figured something natural-ish would be nice. Like a basket with a mug and some tea from Earth Fare or something. I thought about making a lavendar-infused rice heat bag, but they don't have a microwave....

Any ideas? What would like to get?

I like (no love) gift cards.  Personal and intimate, no so much.  Practical, yes.

I would also like some homemade freezer meals.

Or how about a small gift card with that evening's hot dinner accompanying it?

Freezer meals were awesome. My friend had a company deliver 12 meals to our house and it was the best gift we got post partum. You could make some and gift them to her or help organize other friends to each provide a meal one night for a week.

I'd LOVE to have had a few dinners made up, in fact, I think I'll be cooking while in labor so I have a stock up of food ready to just pop in the oven after birth, diapers(if she's using sposies or if you can spring for cloth as a gift), bath stuff, gift cards, box of assorted teas and a nice mug..

I agree with food, you can never have too much easy to prepare food after a baby. If you're not up for making freezer meals, how about a box or two of healthy granola bars and other snacks and a reusable cup with a straw (you know, like the ones they sell at Starbucks) in a cute portable basket so she can have snacks easily assessable if she gets hungry while nursing and what not. You could also add a couple packets of juice or tea that you add to a water bottle.
