I just cut a huge bowl full of jalapenos and got ready to add some store-bought chopped garlic - read the label "garlic, water, citric acid". Can I use this garlic in my jalapeno pickles? Should I somehow rinse it first? Should I just be safe and run to the store for a head or two of galric?
