8 Week Healthy Weight Loss Challenge 5.0 (enrolling thru 10/10, starts 10/8) - Page 10

Starting off the week at 132. In August I was 145 so I consider this a big change, and I'm really glad! But I would like to get below 130 by November 8, when I'm going to Alaska to see my friend . . . He wanted me to be at a 40 lb. loss (which is my ultimate goal, but if I can be at a 15 - 20 lb loss by the time I see him, I'll be very pleased.

The challenge for me will be losing the weight in a healthy way, not starving myself. I did the "Master Cleanse" or "Lemonade Diet" and it was very effective and changed my mindset - in a bad way - it taught me that I could subsist  on very little food. I also felt much more energy when I didn't eat than when I did, which was odd, but encouraging. I need to find food that doesn't upset my body and I can eat without packing the pounds back on.

So far I haven't been exercising at all. I need to get on that. I have every workout dvd on the planet, I'm just fricken lazy. So please call me out on it!!!

I have been trying to do the PACE Express (I think that's what it's called) exercise videos a few times a week.  If you knew me, you would know that that is a huge improvement over what I had been doing which was NOTHING!  blush.gif  I tend to be very lazy when it comes to exercise.  I was able to do it Monday and Wednesday this week.  I may try to get out and walk today.  This is supposed to be the last pretty day around here for awhile.

I also need to be more aware of what I eat.  I eat thoughtlessly.   Bowl of cereal here, a donut there, I have a major sweet tooth.  Sheepish.gif

This is turning out to be more difficult than I thought it would be.  I will persevere though!

I've been bad this week ladies... I've only gotten in 1 workout so far... I will plead schedule - I'm stubbing for my boss - was in the classroom for 12 hours on both Monday and Wednesday, 7 hours on Tuesday. Today has been a rest/recover/spend time with my very confused 3 yo type of day... tomorrow I have another full day... planning on getting in a run in the afternoon, maybe a class on Saturday and doing a tag-team triathlon (timed) on Sunday morning...

Was able to get a beautiful 2+ mile walk in yesterday afternoon (10-25).  It was in the 80's outside and sunny and I just couldn't resist getting out in that to exercise instead of staying in to do something.  Man, was I sore and tired after I sat down last night!  crap.gif   Oh well, no pain, no gain they say.  I still need to work on curbing my eating.   I've not mastered that yet,,,not sure I ever will.

I went to a zumba class last night. I just got done with legs and back and ab ripper routine. My legs are feeling it now. lol.

Anyways, tonight is me and DBF's anniversary and he wants to take me out. I think I will be alright though diet wise. ahem....hopefully.

Came down with a cold. Did go to my hockey classes on Wednesday, walked yesterday, but today I think I'll just take it easy. I don't have a game tonight, so hopefully it will be an early night.

Still planning on going to my class on Sunday.

Ladies... feeling sooooo discouraged! Stepped on the scale today and... is it possible to gain like 4 pounds in three days? Because I did. I mean really? I just cannot believe it! I am being *perfect* on this 5 day detox, working out, the whole nine! I really thought I'd finally break through.

Please let this just be AF bloaty-ness. Or maybe I just wont lose any darn weight till after I wean. Ugh... angry.gif

Not a great day yesterday for me. Kept eating things I shouldn't (chocolate bar, anyone?). And kept eating, too. The eating/food part is so hard; depression/anxiety don't make it any easier!

Tillymonster, I'm sorry you are feeling down. Losing weight is hard, and there are so many complicating factors. I actually don't believe that calories in/calories out is all there is to it, as I have seen in myself that when I am happy and eat a lot (of all sorts of things with no restrictions) I lose weight; when I am unhappy or when I restrict at all, I gain weight. Sometimes even the intention to lose puts me on a gaining spin. I hope you can see some progress soon and stop feeling discouraged. Big e-hugs!

Lol. Did you mean to direct this to me? If yes, then thank you. redface.gif

I went to Panera Bread last night and had a cup of broccoli cheese soup with a turkey harvest salad. It was delicious and was under my carb count. The iced green tea that went along with it...not so much. I should have known it was full of sugar...but good thing I only drank 1/3 of it. Then, I made some high protein hot cocoa later that night; it was very rich tasting but good.

I had the intention to exercise this morning to turbofire. I put in the disc, pressed play, and it played for about 5 minutes before it stopped playing. LOL. So I got 5 minutes of exercise this morning. lol.gif Oh well...
