If your second labor was fast, was your third fast too? - Page 2

Have prodromal labor for weeks, painfully so, so it's hard to say, but...

#1, born at 37 weeks, water broke and she was born 11 hours later after 3 hours of pushing.
#2, born at 38 weeks, 1 hour after water breaking, I never pushed, dh just lifted the sheet and caught him.
#3, born at 38,5, water never broke, it finally occurred to me I was in labor 10 minutes before birth. He was born in the caul!

#4, who knows?! I'm excited, and terrified, to find out!

1st - 41 weeks 3 days, 5 1/2 hours start to finish, born in caul

2nd - 42 weeks ?? days (we lost track) 6 hours start to finish, water broke as she came out

3rd - ??? we will see.. I keep seeing scenarios in my head of baby being born in the car on my way, but hopefully I'll have time to make the 50 minute drive to the birth center. :D Currently 39+5.

#1. 18hrs (39wks+6 days)

#2. 3.5hrs (37wks+4 days)

#3. 45mins (41wks+3 days)

#4. Who knows yet? It can't get much faster!

All natural births with midwives. First two hospital, third at home. 4th will be midwives at home (or unassisted if they don't make it!).

I think mine would have all been born in the caul if they had it their way. My membranes were cut every time, the last two within a minute of birth.

#1 17 hours

#2 7 hours

My water broke right before pushing w/ both of those.

#3 either 6 or 7 hours, I disremember. My midwife broke the water on #3 to facilitate the pushing stage as I was having big pushing contractions but a thick bag of waters. I thought I wouldn't like it & be mad at her afterwards but I only pushed for 5 min. after that as opposed to 15 like I did the other 2 so all was forgiven.

#1 at 39w+2 - 6 hours (hospital, vaginal/drug-free)
#2 at 38w+5 - 45 minutes (planned home birth w/ midwife turned UC because it was so fast)

#1 @ 40 weeks + 2 days: reaaaally long labor (I call it 2 1/2 days; my midwives said technically less than that, but still long)

#2 @ 41 weeks + 1 day: about 3 hours

#3 @ 42 weeks: about 3 hours

They were all born at a freestanding birth center with midwives.
