i prefer my mei tai at all stages. i use a ribbon to tie the body in so that the feet can be out it is the new reccomendation and he prefers it anyway. i love nursin in the mei tai as well. i have a hood and i tie it up after i get him latched on. it support his head just right and i can do whatever and nobody even knows i am nursing. i wrap the ties around his back in just a straight criss cross. i dont twist them or anything. when i want to nurse i pull him down lower on my body and pull the straps that are across his back a little farther up his back. his head tips back a little and i pull my boob out the top pf my shirt. then i tie the hod to support his head so that it doesnt flop all around. his body ends up being at a slight angle across my body. in these pics he is 2 months. but this in how i have been doing it since he was 4 weeks. only with the body tied in with the ribbon. it shortens the body too. i also used the ribbon trick on my ergo with great results.

here the straps are under his legs.
i pull them up around his back and pull him down farther on my hips.

they they are across his back. and he is latched on.

the the hood is tied up.
i do this with the ergo too but there are no straps so i just pull him farther down on my hips and arrange the hood.
