Belly support

I'm going to do belly binding after the baby comes, but I'm wondering if anyone has tried one of those belly support bands while pregnant? I feel like I want something that will lift my belly a little, but they all look kind of flimsy and like they would roll or slide down.
Any tips/reviews?

I don't have any tips, but I am also curious for reviews.

My midwives suggested I get one to ease my pubic bone pain, but I can't see how I can wear it! This is totally for esthetic reasons, but I work in a downtown corporate environment and need to dress appropriately, and that belt would just interfere with almost every outfit I own. It looks like you could only get away with it while wearing sweats... They seem expensive ($70 or so), so I want to make sure it is something I can get use out of before buying.

I just received a long thin piece of fabric from Guatemala (as well as 2 wraps that I am in love with!) and you just tie it around your belly tightly postpartum wise. Thinking of giving it a go now for belly support as this baby is heavy already! Maybe try something like that? A long thin piece of fabric that you can tie/twist on for support (then you can tailor it to suite your wardrobe).

Trying to figure out how to carry baby in the wraps has been tricky, but fun at the same time. My boys have been pretty great about letting me experiment on them wild.gif

PS Post baby I'm going to use the bellefit corsets and this wrap for quite a long time...

Ok here they are let's see if I can do this... lol

There's one more that is a brighter version of the strap that my computer doesn't want to upload. The first image is baby wrap the second one is the belly binding woven fabric.

I've decided to also make a woven wrap (a much longer one) for use with DS2 etc. :-) and then of course baby 3

Yes!  I have the simplest possible belly support band, from Motherhood Maternity - just a thin strap.  It makes a WORLD of difference for me!  I couldn't walk hardly at all, and then I tried that and am back to doing everything!  It really doesn't interfere with my outfits at all because it is underneath my clothes, although it looks a little funny if I am wearing something super tight.
