possible to relactate after taking the pill?

So my LO is 16 weeks old. She was ebf for 7 weeks. She has really bad reflux, colic and a milk protein allergy. bf was very difficult as she was nursing constantly but puking everywhere. after almost collapsing from exhaustion (feeding every 40 minutes because of her reflux) and not eating hardly at all for elimination diet, we gave up. she's as happy as can be on her special formula however i'm overwhelmed with guilt and failure. also have PPD. i'm glad i gave her the best start but i still feel awful.

i started taking a regular birth control pill because i was a mess. would it even be possible to relactate? i'd like to maybe pump and give her the milk when she can tolerate it better

i feel like a horrible mom

firsttimer2012, hug.gif to you. You don't sound like a horrible mom, but you do sound like you are having a really hard time. PPD is tough; please check out MDC's PPD forum. Also, you might find a local in-person support group or therapist very helpful. In terms of relactating, there are mamas here who have relactated or induced lactation, so hopefully these mamas will respond with their experiences!
