Looking for an "Intact Friendly" Pediatrician in Central Arkansas!

Hello everyone, I am new here and am hoping someone might help me out. :)

My husband and I are due to have our son in roughly 4 weeks, and have made the decision to leave him intact.  After doing a lot of research, I have learned how to care for an intact son and learned the risks and pain of forced retraction before it's time.  I am really hoping to find an intact friendly pediatrician who also knows how to care for an intact son and respects my wishes about NOT forcibly retracting him during examination.  I have read about so many parents who went to their Ped Dr. and they harmed their sons out of ignorance.  I have checked "thewholenetwork" and did not find any Doctors in my area, so I was hoping someone here might recommend a good one?  Thank you!!

Welcome to MDC and congratulations on your soon-to-be born son! I'm so happy to hear that you've decided to keep your son intact and bumping up your post for attention. bump.gif Anyone have a recommendation to share?

Hmmmm...my standard recommendation for peds is Dr. Meiers at Sherwood Family Medical Clinic.  She was my ds's pediatrician when we lived in the area and I adore her to this day.  She is very friendly to the crunchy population, or at least was when I saw her.

thank you!  Would you by any chance know how she feels about delayed/selective vaccines?

She never gave us an issue.  I got the impression that she supports vaccines in general, but she would say things like, "Ok, at this appointment he's due for X, Y, and Z, but I'll tell you I really don't think Y is necessary."  And I was going to give him a tetanus shot once and she talked me out of it.  LOL  So she's ok with the whole selective/delayed thing.
