I had planned on having basically everything ready by this time BUT I haven't done anything.. I did manage to wash the clothing and diapers but that is it..
Anyone else have ton left to get done? Anyone want to share motivation to get things done? I know I sure need some right now.

I still need to:
Gather all the birth supplies (I own them now, I just need to put them in a box)
Pack a bag of stuff for ds to do with my mom during labor
Wash diapers and clothes
Order a few more diapers and accessories
Scrub the shower
Install the carseat
Assemble the baby bed (not crucial, I ended up cosleeping most of the time last time)
Order blinds for the back door
Put mattress protector on our bed
Make bedroom curtains so we can have our second set of bedsheets back (they are currently tacked over the window)
Clear off the changing table
Buy cloth diaper detergent
Buy a nightlight for night feeds and changes
Other things I'd like to do but aren't as crucial:
Get ds's halloween costume out of the way
Freeze more meals (I have 3 done)
Scrub out all the kitchen cabinets (previous owners let them get really stinky, we suspect cats)
Finish curtains for dh's office and living room (these are about half done)
Get rid of the last few boxes in the bedroom
Get some audio books from the library
Make/finish a few more special things for the baby
Shampoo bedroom carpet
Make a new batch of spray cleaner (dh is allergic to the tea tree in my current recipe)
We are making a big shopping run today (it's over an hour to get to anything much beyond Walmart) That should take care of a few things on the list. I'm waiting on dh to fix the drawer on the baby's dresser before I can really sort through the clothes and get them all washed and ready. I think I'll order my diaper detergent now, easy thing to cross off, right?

We decided that ds can wear the wizard robes I made him last year, and carry a lightsaber instead of a wand. I'm really glad that he doesn't have much of an opinion on halloween costumes yet. He was pretty excited about the lightsaber we bought him. I also finished a little halloween sweater for the baby. And my sister and mom let me know what diapering stuff they ordered for me, so I know what I need to buy myself and can get that done soon.

This weekend was a total bust unfortunately.. Friday our washer decided that it wanted to flood the kitchen and living room. Spent Friday night/Saturday morning cleaning up some of the mess and trying to fix it. Saturday my oldest woke up with a high fever and cough so I spent Saturday trying to fix the washer and taking care of her.. Sunday she was still sick and the washer was still broken.. BUT my hubby decided to check and see if the drain pipe was clogged one more time before calling someone (which we can't afford so basically we would be using a laundry mat until we could) and pulled a whole dish cloth out of the pipe. It hasn't flooded or stopped working since yesterday afternoon so praying its fixed. The biggest woke up feeling a lot better today and she isn't running a fever so hopefully she just caught a cold from somewhere. DH left super early this morning for the field ops he has this week (I don't know when/if he will be home this week) and FIL is coming tonight so praying the baby doesn't decided this morning/afternoon would be the perfect time to come. Especially since I'm going on about 7 hours of sleep since Friday morning so I'm just to tried to even THINK about it right now..
I'm breaking down my list to bite size chunks, most important first. I won't be able to get it all done before the baby comes, unless she is super late, but I'm going to try to make a dent in it.. First 10 things i need to get done:
- at least pick up around the house before FIL comes tonight, it looks like a typhoon hit it.
- do school packs (basically I'm printing everything out and making packets for each day) for the 2nd-20 of this month so if I can't do school work with the girls FIL or DH can
- finish coming home dress
- do conference activity packs (our church has a 2 day conference twice a year so I need to get some activities together to keep the children occupied during conference time)
-sew a diaper bag, wet bag and wipes bag
- go through camping gear and see if we still have a blow up mattress for FIL to use
- finish October meal plan and making a shopping list of what needs to be gotten
- pack bags for hospital
- wash all the wet towels/blankets/clothing from the washer flooding
-make stencils and stencil big brother/sister shirts/bags
Thanks for reminding me about Halloween costumes btw.. My children are very opinionated (even my 20 mo knows what he wants to be) so I need to figure out a princess horse costume (for my oldest), a monkey ballerina costume (for my middle) and a giraffe superhero costume (for the youngest).. Oh and the baby is suppose to be a princess kitty according to my two oldest. Would I be a horrible mother if I told them no the baby doesn't need a costume?
We'll be watching conference next weekend too 
. An activity pack for ds sounds like a really good idea. In fact, I've been meaning to make him some quiet activity toys for the church bag anyway. But I think I better see if I can knock out some more of the curtains first. So far, I've finished one window out of the 5 we most need coverings on.
I'm sorry your weekend wasn't kinder to you. We had a piece of foam stuck in our washer drain pipe a few months ago that was causing leaks and such. Pulling it out did the trick for us, hopefully yours won't need any further maintenance.
Your kids' costume ideas sound very creative! Good luck! I was surprised ds didn't seem to have any concrete ideas. Maybe if he had older siblings who were making plans he'd be more into it. After asking him a few times he suggested something with lights. We considered making him a tron outfit with black clothes and glow tape, but we couldn't find any glow tape. He'll have fun with the glowing light sabre I'm sure. Maybe you could appease the olders by putting the baby in a dress and drawing some whiskers on her face. But no, you're not a terrible mom if you don't want to bother with a costume for the newborn.
I don't know if you heard of the Sugardoodle site but she has conference packs for each age group (nursery, junior primary and primary) that you can print out.. Also, the church's website has some things as well :) Im thinking of doing conference bingo with my oldest. Im picking a few small art things for them to do as well. My kids aren't use to sitting still (ever!) so finding things that get them to quiet down is important.. We are probably going to miss Saturday's sessions though since we are going to the fair in the morning and Chuck E Cheeses that night (unless I go into labor, it is my due date) as our last "family of 5 fun day"..
This week is already starting to look up.. The kids are somewhat behaving (its a miracle trust me) and DH is most likely going to be able to make it home at least for dinner tonight. He isn't suppose to be home all week, except to take me to a prenatal appointment, so Ill take any extra time I can get. The washer is actually working better than it has in a while so I was able to get almost all the wet, gross laundry washed. My house doesn't smell anymore (yay) and the kids are excited about their grandfather coming so they willing cleaned their room and their playroom without help.
Now off to make dinner (chicken fried rice) and work on a few things.. Hopefully FIL calls and tells me when hes going to get here soon.
I'll have to check that site out, thanks! Are you going to a broadcast or watching from home? We'll be staying home to watch, so at least I don't have to worry about ds bugging other people besides me and dh. He ended up meowing kind of loudly for about 10 minutes of sacrament meeting yesterday 
Staying home.. I have really bad anxiety and panic attacks if Im in a crowded room. Added to that my "due" date is technically Saturday and I adore my Relief Society president (honestly shes awesome) but she a bit of a mother hen. I don't want to hear "are you ok" a million times. FIL forgot church clothing as well so hed have to stay home and Id feel bad about leaving him by himself.
No worrying about the meowing sounds, Im sure its not the first time that has happened.. When my oldest was around 2 my husband left on a ship for some training.. She couldn't talk all that well but in the middle of the sacrament meeting she yelled out "Daddy sh*t" over and over again.. It was soo embarrassing at the time but so funny now! It was (luckily) a military branch so everyone knew what she was trying to say but still I wanted to hide!
I am sure there are plenty of things I could still do, but the only thing I am hanging on to is mopping. The rest can wait. I am so happy to have older kids this time! They help out so much. Really, my biggest stressor is meals...nothing sounds good and I don't feel like making anything. of course.
My washer broke yesterday, too! The motor is shot. With the baby coming I really didn't want to shell out money for repairs or a new washer, so I've been praying that womething would turn up...and it did! A house that my husband's company bought to remodel and sell has a washer there, they just remembered this morning! I am so grateful! I thought it ironic because I had just read yesterday that sposies are supposed to go up in price due to a plant explosion that makes 105 of the worl'ds arylic acid, I think it was? And, because I am set to have a HB (hello, need a washer!) anyday now, AND was so excited to cd from birth with this one. But gratefully, it worked out...
Oki, sorry your weekend was so awful! Two of my kiddos comlained of tummy aches yesterday, but it only lasted a few hrs, thankfully.
We are gearing up for conference, too! My guess date is fri and we like to stay home and watch all the sessions as a fam. One dd brought homw a packet from her teacher and I am planning on copying it off for the others. MY kids are very into fairness and equality these days...everyone has to have the same amount of pancakes (uh! He got 4 pancakes for his second serving?! I only got 2!), ect. It is rather annoying. lol
I am hoping baby comes before fri though. Who knows; he seems perfectly content to live in there permanently...but, I swear, he is getting too heavy for me to carry aroundi nternally, lol.
I dont really like going anywhere lately because of comments; dh is doing all the errands these days. But I am beginning to get a bit of cabin fever. I guess I need to make some more muffins, lol.
Had a pretty lazy day yesterday, but I did manage to put together the birth box and go through it with dh. Last time, everyone kept asking me where stuff was while I was in labor, and I was like, "it's in the birth box!" every single time. So now dh knows what's in there, and what everything is for. I'm missing a tennis ball or two I was hoping to have around for counterpressure, so I need to find that.
Ds woke up with a really runny nose, and I've got a bit of drip going on too. I'm hoping whatever this is that it is mild and short lived! I'm not due until the 17th, so I should have some time to get over a cold, I just don't want to get too sick to get things done!
Ive been being a bit lazy the last few days and I don't feel guilty about it at all The baby has dropped so low that if I move to much the pressure on my back is so painful! Im going to be glad when this one makes her appearance. This morning hubby asked me to make a list of what I would absolutely want to do before the baby comes and number by priority.. I don't know when the baby will be here but Im hoping sooner rather than later!
Okay, have a few more things checked off now. And a few more added. We have a cold going around the house, ds is over it, now it's dh's and my turn, so not a whole lot is going on.
I got my packages of the rest of the diapering essentials I needed, and prepped the new diapers. I still need to give the old diapers a good strip before we use them, they were starting to get ammonia stinky when ds grew out of them.
I really want to get to organizing the baby clothes, but I have to get dh to fix the drawer they are going in first. I put some good time in on the curtains last night, but the ones for the living room are giving me more grief than they should. I'll be glad when they are finished.
We also just discovered we are going to need to weather proof the big bedroom window. It's right above the head of our bed, and now that the temps are dropping down to the 30's at night, we're finding out how drafty it is, even with the fleece blanket we have tacked over it as a makeshift window covering. I don't want a cold draft right on my brand new baby every night. The heater will warm the rest of the room just fine, I'm sure, but it won't take away that draft.
Oh! I did make one more meal to freeze. Woo!
