We are transitioning out of naps. Our new no nap routine is 7 to 7:30 pm bedtime. And a 7 to 7:30 am wake up time. If he takes a nap he won't fall asleep until 9:30 pm and that is just too late now that he has started preschool. When he was napping for two hours a day it took much longer for him to fall asleep at night. Now it takes about five or ten minutes for him to fall asleep. We cosleep and he still nurses a little bit at bedtime. My ds is almost three and a half.
ODS is in K this year so we are much more careful about bedtime, in a good way. DD is almost 3 1/2 and hasn't regularly napped in over a year. She usually is asleep by 7:30-8 pm and is up at 6:-6:30 a.m. Once a week or so she'll add an hour or two to her sleep. She doesn't SSN. She will wake up once and walk down the hall and crawl into bed with me and go back to sleep within a few minutes.
