How long have you been TTC: we weren't really ttc, this is a wished for baby, but not exactly planned
Tell us a bit about your family (partner, other children, and/or pets): I have to girls. Izel is 5 and Naori is 3. They are super excited!
Anything else you'd like to share: I live in Mexico now, but my two other girls were born in the states. I want this baby to be born in the states too, but I don't know if that will work or not. I'm mainly interested in having a homebirt, as I did for my second, but here in Mx is near to imposible.  This baby as I said above was not planned but I was really hoping to have another baby. I felt my family was missing one. And even when this is not an ideal time, I know there are no ideal times for babies. I'm confident this will work out in the end, but I need to sit down and plan ahead.

I'm so happy to be here with you all, I wish all a safe and joyous journey!

Tell us a bit about your family (partner, other children, and/or pets): We already have two boys, ages 5 and 7, and I am pretty excited to be pregnant again after so long! We are a homeschooling family (not sure how a new addition will effect this) with two dogs and a ridiculously busy life, living in the beautiful pacific NW.

Hi All!  Newbie to the group and first time mom-to-be.

How long have you been TTC: I was warned I might have difficulty conceiving so we were ready to be in it for the long haul ... but, to our surprise, we lucked out on the first cycle.
Tell us a bit about your family (partner, other children, and/or pets): My husband and I have 2 beautiful beagles, 1 ancient cat, and honey bees. We both play banjo, hike when we can, love to cook and eat and garden, and build things with our hands. We long for 40 acres and a mule, but make due with our little urban homestead.

Anything else you'd like to share: I'm nervous! Excited! Looking forward to connecting and sharing this journey.

Tell us a bit about your family (partner, other children, and/or pets): I'm married to a nerdy architect, and I'm a nerdy librarian, so we are expecting a football star baby. We've been together 6 years and married for one. Two cats, both acting like freakazoids right now - rain or pregnancy? Hard to tell.
Anything else you'd like to share: We're super excited but also still in the "Wait, really?" stage. I'd been on BC pills since my early 20s and had no idea what my cycle would be like but I ovulated and we got pregnant on the first try - way quicker than we thought we would! I'm definitely not complaining - it's thrown us for a happy loop.

How long have you been TTC: well, we weren't really trying very hard, actually. i doubted it could even happen. This was only maybe the third time we'd had sex without birth control at a time when I was fertile.
 

Tell us a bit about your family (partner, other children, and/or pets): We got married in June. We have a cat named Iris. ("his" cat -- she's new to me. and i'm allergic and the cat hair drives me nuts, but i am fond of her.)

Anything else you'd like to share: I'm 8 weeks, two days today; still a little in shock over this whole thing. I mean, I'm almost 41 and I've never been pregnant. I've also had some deeply complicated feelings about having children and pretty much thought my time was over anyway.

How long have you been TTC: wasn't trying. I have wanted another baby for years. Was planning to go single mother on purpose / sperm donor route and always seemed to have a promising boyfriend when it was a good time of year to conceive. I have a seasonal business. Then these relationships always ended with another year added between siblings. My son's 5 now. I really want him to have someone to grow up with and for later in life. So I planned to plan but that didn't work out. Now I have a new boyfriend and a new pregnancy. Here's hoping they both stick.

Tell us a bit about your family (partner, other children, and/or pets): my boyfriend is pretty cool. He has experienced a miscarriage. He's into homebirth and homeschool, sustainable living, organics and other good stuff. My 5 year old son rocks. He was the first person I told. We've been talking about a baby for years. We have Horses, chickens, angora rabbits (new litter!) dog and cat.

Anything else you'd like to share: we homeschool ( in a waldorf group and into montessori) co-sleep, cloth diaper (thinking about going into biz making cloth diapers). Vegetarian (bf is vegan!) I just love meeting all the awesome parents on here and sharing in this new life.

How long have you been TTC: 2 years and 8 months (3 chemical pregnancies previously)

Tell us a bit about your family (partner, other children, and/or pets): Married to my wonderful husband since 2003, together for 15 years.  I'm an HR Manager for a GE Company and he's an environmental engineer.  We live in an older house undergoing renovations.  Our 3 kitty children keep us entertained....but we love to go camping and hiking.

Anything else you'd like to share: TTC was a tough road and we were about to give up and start IVF after all of our diagnostic testing and various poking and proding by numerous medical professionals.  Fortunately, this little grape happened naturally.  Hoping for a natural, enjoyable childbirth full of love and support from my husband, friends, and family!

Had my first appointment today and I guess I was a little off on the due date! Lol. It's only changed by 2 days. It's now May 31! I didn't go late with my last pregnancy but I'll keep my spot in this DDC just in case

How long have you been TTC: So not! This is our first out of the blue accident. But I'm thrilled. :) Nervous, but thrilled.
Tell us a bit about your family (partner, other children, and/or pets): I have four boys at home. The youngest is just barely 11 months and was born with a cleft lip/palate so I have my hands full! My husband is a full time student and will be starting PA school probably just weeks before the baby comes. Oops. Also fun, I'm a home-brither and we will probably be moving only weeks before the baby's due. Nice, right?
Anything else you'd like to share: I couldn't breastfeed my last baby due to his cleft palate and he was my first homebirth so I'll be excited to have the whole experinece this time without the pump! I am still pumping for #4 but this pregnancy is definitely trying to put an end to that.

This is my first vegan pregnancy! So that's fun. So far, so good! And I was running faithfully but I've been sidelined by a pretty bad subchorionic hemorrhage. Lame. I'm excited to get to know you ladies! And to have somewhere to complain about the first tri. I swear, this is when I really need the support and no one even knows yet!

Anything else you'd like to share: We are so excited ... and nervous!  We have no clue what we are doing.  Eeepe!  Just had our 8 wk sonogram today and we saw the heart a-flutterin'!

How long have you been TTC: Over a year - this is IVF baby #2 for us.  Our first took us over 3 years to conceive when all was said and done.

Tell us a bit about your family (partner, other children, and/or pets): I've been married for just over 5 years.  My DH and I have a son who will be two in January, and two dogs (Welsh corgis).  We're excited to be adding a little girl to our family.

How long have you been TTC: Since Jan 2012.  I travel a lot for work, so timing was difficult.  
Tell us a bit about your family (partner, other children, and/or pets): Husband, and sweet rescue pup who we adopted in April.  We're excited, but I'm nervous to tell anyone until after our first midwife appointment, which isn't for another 2 weeks.  I think the cat will be out of the bag at Thanksgiving though!
