Aloha, Y'all!  I'm Mericia from Sugar Land, Texas, living in Hawaii.  So happy to find this group!

EDD: June 19
Your Age: 38
Your General Location: West side of Oahu
This babe will be child #?:3
How long have you been TTC:4 months
Tell us a bit about your family (partner, other children, and/or pets): Hubby is 33, his first biological child.  DS 15; DD 12 (13 when baby comes). 2 dogs.
Anything else you'd like to share:  Having lots of stress and trying my hardest to stay calm and peaceful.  Nursed my two babies until they were each 4, homeschooled until they got in to first grade.  LLL leader for awhile.  Just graduated law school in June, finishing my MLISc in this month and sitting for the Hawaii Bar in Feb.  Working full time to support us all and keep insurance, and trying to study for the bar every free moment I can.  Feeling overwhelmed and overworked.   Started spotting early on, MW found a cervical polyp.  Spotting (sometimes heavy) everyday.  MW has done 2 ultrasounds since the spotting, all good w baby.  But I think stress is making the spotting worse.  Trying desperately to get my hubby to help me out so I can rest.  But he just keeps reminding me that my MW did not recommend bed rest, so he does not see "what the big deal" is.

Some midwives don't recommend bed rest any more because apparently there is no difference in outcome between those who are on it and those who aren't.  That being said, stress, especially about your pregnancy has been demonstrated to have various negative effects on the baby, including a higher chance of preterm labor.  So even if your MW didn't specifically put you on rest, that doesn't mean that you shouldn't be taking care of yourself...including listening to your body if you need to take it easy.  (http://www.mothering.com/community/a/preventing-prematurity-early-the-stress-connection) Make sure that your DH understands the implications, and make sure that you are taking care of yourself!!

ANd welcome other Mamas!

EDD early july
32 yrs old
I am hoping this will be my first baby, i have had many losses and have been ttc for a couple years. I am so happy to have a break from my endometriosis symptoms but am now experiencing lots of anxiety.since i started my thyroid med.
I have a long term partner of 10 yrs and we miss our dog that passed away. I am having sudden doubts about raising this child with my partner, and i am hoping it is just stress affecting communication.
Thanks for the company everyone.

Hey everyone!! I am excited to be here. I didn't know that this website existed before now. I belong to a much more mainstream(ish) board and finding myself not really relating. This is much more my speed.ROTFLMAO.gifSome info about me:

EDD: June 26, 2013
Your Age: 30
Your General Location: New Hampshire
This babe will be child #?: 2
How long have you been TTC: About a year and a half
Tell us a bit about your family (partner, other children, and/or pets): I am married to a mostly awesome guy. Pregnancy makes me a little more grumpy towards him than usual. whistling.gifI have an awesome 2.5 year old who is awesome. He was a homebirth and I am grateful I for that experience. He weaned himself just recently. In fact, the last day he nursed was November 17, 2012. It has been heartbreaking for me, but he was ready because it doesn't seem to faze him. I do love how independent he is. stillheart.gif  I have a beagle and two cats. We also just bought a house with enough land for some homesteading!!
Anything else you'd like to share: I would like to share that my husband just served me up some pancakes so I am going to go eat now. I look forward to getting to know everyone better!!

Hello mommas and mommas-to-be!  I've been reading your posts for a little while now, and I've finally decided that it's time to join the group.  Looking forward to it.  :)

EDD:  June 22
Your Age: 30
Your General Location:  western Washington (the state)
This babe will be child #?:  #1
How long have you been TTC:  two days - we apparently have good timing
Tell us a bit about your family (partner, other children, and/or pets):  my partner and I have been married since August and have two dogs who I hope will be ok with adding another member to our pack
Anything else you'd like to share:  Not yet.  :)

Welcome!!

EDD: June 20, but midwives say due to my long cycles, I shouldn't expect the baby before July :)
Your Age: I am 38, DH is 42
Your General Location: Vancouver, BC Canada
This babe will be child #?: 2
How long have you been TTC: just over a year
Tell us a bit about your family (partner, other children, and/or pets): My DH is an awesomely talented artist and musician who runs an art studio for artists with disabilities (he's legally blind himself).  Our son, Jack, is three, rambunctious, social, and remarkably polite (don't know how that happened).  We've got a little rescue dog, Angel, who pretty much ignores me when I'm pregnant :P
Anything else you'd like to share: We live in a housing co-op in an eclectic neighbourhood. After a failed induction/c-section with Jack in 2009, I'm excited to be planning a home VBAC with a great team of midwives. I'm grateful that in BC, midwives form part of our public healthcare system and our area really supports VBACs in general. Last year, I did doula training and an advanced course in breastfeeding support as that reflects my passions, even though I work full time in a completely unrelated industry.

Hello! Please add me :)

EDD: I am due in late may - May 28th according to ultra sound, and May 31st according to fist day of last MS. But who knows it could be in June!

Your Age: 24
Your General Location: Massachusetts
This babe will be child #?: This will be our first baby.
How long have you been TTC: It was a surprise!
Tell us a bit about your family (partner, other children, and/or pets): I live in a two-bedroom apartment with my boyfriend and two cats right now. We are going to be trading the office for a nursery soon. My boyfriend and I have been together for two years and living together for most of that time. We were not expecting a baby right now, but once we got over the shock we've both started looking forward to it :)
Anything else you'd like to share: I teach high school math for a living so the timing of everything is pretty perfect. I probably couldn't have planned it that way if I wanted to! I'm on winter break right now which has been really nice. I've enjoyed just sitting around. I'll have to go back to work in about a week. I'm part of the May DDC as well so I'm excited to have double posts to read!

Hi!  I'm new and finding my way around.  This is the first group I've joined so, Horray!

EDD: June 14th
Your Age: 29
Your General Location: North Central Vermont, USA
This babe will be child #?: #1
How long have you been TTC: We tried once and bada bing.
Tell us a bit about your family (partner, other children, and/or pets): My husband and I have been married for almost a year and half now though we've been together for over ten years.  We rent a small apartment on a farm in (now) snowy Vermont.  We have a roommate/friend for now but she may be moving out close to around when the tyke arrives and we hope to be in the process of buying a house at that point too.  We have a 6 year old mutt pup who's a little off kilter so we're hoping things go well with her when the babe comes.  She is very athletic and could run in the woods for hours.
Anything else you'd like to share: This is our first child and as I have suffered from depression for years and years now, it's hard for me to be as happy and cheerful about it as I feel I should be.  Now, in the first couple of weeks of the second tri, I'm feel better that the physical sickness isn't as prevalent, but I do worry a lot and feel kind of clueless about everything.  I'm hoping the community here as well as now that we're "official" on facebook, the mothering community there will be a good resource too.  Thanks for "listening" and I look forward to meeting you!

EDD:  June 7th
Your Age:  34
Your General Location:  New England
This babe will be child #?:  This will be my first childbirth, second child.  My bf and I have a two year old who I adopted a year ago.  He is unable to adopt her since we aren't married, but he is her father and has been with us since day 1 (which was when she was less than 3 months old).
How long have you been TTC:  Tough one--we weren't really trying, but didn't think it would happen since we've been together so long!
Tell us a bit about your family (partner, other children, and/or pets):  My boyfriend and I have been together almost 10 years, and have a beautiful 2 year old daughter (adopted) and 2 dogs (also adopted)!
Anything else you'd like to share:  We are so excited to be growing our family!  We are very blessed to have each other and a smart and funny little girl to call ours.  And a new sibling on the way!

Welcome! Pregnancy (and motherhood!) is a hormonal roller coaster for sure.  You will probably run a wiiiiiiiddde range of feelings about the pregnancy, and not all of them are going to be happy, and that's normal.  But it's always nice to have support and know that you aren't alone in those feelings :)  With my first (we are pregnant now with our second) it really did take a long time for reality to set in...but it was still a surreal reality until the baby actually arrived.  It's really hard to know what to expect.  But it will be awesome, I promise :)
