What brand of prenatal vitamin do you use?

My gyno told me that I had to go on prenatal vitamins now that I am trying to have a baby.

I have been using Vitafusion Prenatal for about a month now, but recently noticed on the bottle that there is NO iron at all in them.  There is a note on the bottle that says "This product does not contain iron, because of their appeal to children".  I thought iron is one of the most important nutrients to have while pregnant?

What brands do you guys take?  Are they easily absorbed in you?  Does anyone know of a liquid prenatal vitamin I can take?

I use Blackmores Pregnancy and Breastfeeding Gold, I'm not sure it that's available everywhere though. The fish oil in it definitely helps with the baby brain I've been having lately!

Briannas, I'm sorry to hear that your gummies don't have iron. I used to take gummies because I simply CAN'T STAND prenatal pills because I have hyperemesis. But after I found out that they don't have iron I was forced to search for alternatives.

My OB recommended a powdered prenatal multivitamin Premama. I've been pretty much hooked since. No need to swallow large pills. Plus, it helped me through my morning sickness (I think it was the ginger). If you don't like ginger, it might not be for you, but you don't taste it when you mix it with flavored stuff. I mix it with oj and smoothies every day. Absolutely love it.

Hope you find a prenatal supplement that really works for you, and please share! :)

I use thorne prentals (two a day) and one ounce of vemma, that is a liquid one. It is a multivitamin that you would have to go over with your doctor. but I have heard from quite a few women that take just the vemma when they are pregnant. The regular dose for adults is two ounces.

I try to take rainbow light (one a day) which is a food based vitamin.  I like what it's them, but they smell something horrid to the point where over the last few pregnancies, I have learned to really dislike taking them (to the point where right now typing this, my mouth is watering on the verge of gagging).  You can buy them on Amazon (maybe even at target?).  I feel good when I take them but they are a tough pill to swallow.
