Everyone in my house has colds already and it is only October 1st. I would love to boost our immune systems but I don't know where to start. Extra vitamin C? Echinecea? Something else?

We are at the tail-end of an awful cold. It's been more than two weeks now. There seem to be a lot of colds/flus going around in my area, so maybe it's an early year for it.
We do:
elderberry syrup
fish oil pills
multivitamin
extra C and D
probiotics
I know some people swear by limiting or completely cutting out sugar but that's never worked for us. I was really adamant about it one winter and we were the sickest as a family we had ever been. But it might be worth a try.

We eat organically; consume zero sugars (except Concord grape juice); drink water, the previously mentioned juice, and herbal teas (ginger and raspberry leaf); get plenty of rest; laugh daily; get fresh air, sunshine and exercise frequently (we do not have a car). It works for us.
