:) thanks. I like hearing that I'm not just crazy and that I could be right LOL!!!! Anyway...ultrasound set up for the 8th (sooo far away lol) and I'm on the waiting list for the 2nd in case there is a cancellation. I could get in sooner but dh works m-w and he's not missed an ultrasound yet lol...so anyway...I'll know for sure by the 8th....well for confirmed sure...I already "know" but having a doctor say it's true so I can tell people IRL lol...I dont want to have to go around telling people I was just crazy or something lol....

Martha - I totally agree with you! Looks like multiples to me how exciting

And I ended up calling my doc early while they were still open abt the cramping as it has continued all day. And they basically said they wanted me to take a tylonel and a benedryl and if it didn't help with cramp discomfort then I should be seen but if it helps and I have NO bleeding or pressure. Which I don't. Then I'm good to wait til my appt on Monday I was totally freaking out, so it felt better to touch base with them and hear them reassure me it's probably totally fine

I totally hate that tho, I sure hope it doesn't happen anymore lol

Oh man, I am so excited for 2 things...Christmas, and labor. LOL  Seriously can't stop thinking about either one.

I am really learning to sort through some emotions lately.  I get really frightened each time one of my friends announces a pregnancy (and twice lately I've found out two friends who've been talking about my pregnancy with me for MONTHS were pregnant all along, 4-6 weeks ahead of me...and it felt really awkward when they told me, kinda like I'd been "bested" and I felt really stupid for having trusted them with my sacred pregnancy chat for so long and here they were ahead of me the whole time...I don't know...miscarriage has messed me up...).  But I just get so scared that I'm going to lose this baby too and once again be left behind and have to deal with watching them progress and see their babies and know where I "should" have been and how old my baby would have been and all that stuff.  It's hard.

But overall I actually feel like this pregnancy is okay and that my baby is healthy and strong.  I pray that, anyway.  And when I allow myself to just have faith that it's true, I feel really good.  But if the worry creeps in....ick.  And then I start thinking that sure, I may be successfully pregnant this time, but after all we've been through, it can't possibly be a healthy, normally developing baby then. 

It's awful.  I wish I could erase all those thoughts from my mind and prevent them from ever entering again.

Oh and is anyone else having to do the potty wiggle already? LOL  I always remember doing it a lot late in the game, too. (and always having DH tease me about it! LOL)  But I have to kind of wiggle around and lean forward in order to fully empty my bladder.

ManDork usually does MiniDork's night-time routine, but he's at a med-school interview practice group with a bunch of other hopeful applicants, so I had bed-time duty tonight. I decided to add a couple of lullabies to the routine tonight. Holding and rocking my not-so-little-"baby" girl was really great. It reminded me of when she was a baby, and made me excited about doing it for another baby come spring. I can't believe she's almost four already!

So I just bought tickets for our family to Disney On Ice.  We wouldn't normally spend money on that kind of stuff but we rarely have fun family things of that sort to do in this area so I'm excited!  We're keeping in a surprise.  I remember going to them when I was a kid and having so much fun!!  I was going to take both DD's to the Nutcracker (took eldest DD last year) but it's about $150 for the 3 of us and we just can't afford that!!!  So DOI it is...

AND...it gives me one more thing to look forward to to help pass the time until Christmas and then baby! LOL 

Do you guys use every single thing on your calendars between now and baby as part of your "countdown"???  It's one of my favorite things about being pregnant!!  At Thanksgiving I'll be 18w3d, at DOI I'll be 19w3d, on our 9th anniversary I'll be 22w3d, at Christmas I'll be 23w1d, on DD1's birthday I'll be 31w5d, on DS's birthday I'll be 32w5d...yeah, you get the point.  I'm a bit obsessed. LOL

I was having those same feelings about my little ones tonight!!!  I love watching them grow, and it makes me sad how fast it's going.  I just keep praying that God plans to give us many more.

I'm not doing the potty-wiggle yet, but I am having issues when I sneeze I was really hoping that wouldn't show up for a while, but ug. Having to wear a panty liner all the time.

On the topic of birth photography, a couple of things to keep in mind: google wedding photographers and see what they charge in your area. Then keep in mind that a birth photog is going to be *on call* for you, meaning they are very limited to the number of clients they can take at any given time, where as the wedding photog can schedule as many clients as they want since they're never on call. Also, a wedding photog will know exactly how much time they're going to be with you - maybe an hour or two before the ceremony, during and a bit after. But your labor could be short or very very long. What if you call her out when you're at 4cm but then you don't deliver for another 24 hours. Many birth photogs will also schedule a shoot shortly after the birth to get new baby photos too. I'm not saying you *should* pay $700, especially if that's not in your budget (it certainly isn't in mine... but I "hired" my SIL to do my wedding photos too lol) but just some points to consider about *why* their fee might be that high.

My suggestion would be to hire a birth doula who also has photographic talent too so you get as much value for you money.

All of this talk, (Martha ;) not naming names or anything hahahaha), has me wondering...LOL

I found two hbs with my doppler tonight (for the first time...I check every time!! LOL).  When I say I found 2 hbs I mean 2 separate, galloping horses-sound (of the heart valves) where you KNOW it is baby, not echo or placenta...

One on the left of my uterus and the other was on the very right but I normally only hear placenta sounds there so I'm wondering if a 2nd could be hiding out behind the placenta this whole time...OMG.  Tell me I am insane.  haha  If after 3 early u/s there are two in there I will FREAK LOL.I am 16w on Sun and uterus is nearly to my belly button but not completely out of range of 'normal' for me with so many pgs...

Of course I don't have another u/s until after 21w in DEC!  lol  I guess I'll just have to see if tonight was an anomoly or not. haha

LOL...how have yoiu measured before? You are on your sixth the same as me. But I've always measured right on at 20 weeks I was at 20 weeks. Before the ultrasound picture started looking twinnish to me I had a "test" I was waiting for. If my uterus was OVER my BB at 16 weeks I was going to be convinced. I'm 14 weeks and it's level with my bellly button...If it continues the way it has been continuing I have no fear that it will be over it in two more weeks. Which is ironically when I'll know for sure because of ultrasound. LOL.

When were your early ultrasounds. Trust me, I've done TONS of reading and it's NOT uncommon for early ultrasounds to miss twins. Also were they performed by a sonographer or were they performed by a doctor as a quick in office look? Apparently that matters too (mine was doc in office) according a friend of a friend who IS a sonographer. (she looked at my picture I posted too, well the unedited with extras one) and she said that it looks like two to her too but sicne she didn't take the picture it's hard to say. LOL....

I've heard of a few people having a couple ultrasounds and still not knowing til 20 weeks.

Anyway...I would say "what does your gut say" but my gut told me when I first was pregnant that it was one baby...and my gut told me two pregnancies before that it was twins and it was one. LMBO....but then when my uterus took off growing like Jack's magic bean, I started to wonder....and with a few other symptoms....and comments...and then discovering that picture where there are other twins that look VERY similar (especially the one on the left)....I'm convinced. LOL...I've been told numerous times that my uterus could just be relaxed from so many babies....but honestly I think the only person that can knokw that for sure is the momma. Basing it off of my previous pregnancies it's way different. I would think it would be gradual, not boom huge. And I've talked to other Grand multipara moms (locally) and they all say the same thing...that it might measure a week or two bigger but six weeks bigger seems a bit strange.

If it helps any, I always pick up the HB in 2 different locations with my pregnancies....both on opposite sides of my uterus.  Did send us looking for 2 babies once with another pg. ;)  But just one.  Was told it's basically like an echo, that the pubic bone can contribute a lot to that.

Are the HB's the same rate, or close?  I've always read that with separate twin HB's, they almost always vary by 10-20 bpm.

I think I just had my first BH contraction! (I'm 16w5d.)

It came on quite suddenly (I was just puttering around my studio, putting things away), and felt like strong menstrual cramps, with a bit of nausea thrown in. (My cramps were terrible, and I usually threw up and/or passed out on the first day of my cycle.) It was so startling that I ran to the bathroom to check if I was bleeding!

No spotting, thank goodness, and the contraction passed after two minutes or so. But, goodness, it scared me to tears.

 I haven't had any this pregnancy yet, but my bhs never hurt, it just feels like tightening not like menstural cramps to me.  Be watchful.
