Doula, I was chart stalking you and it looks like AF is still at bay. It will be interesting to see if your temp jumps up again. Maybe the first "dip" wasn't ovulation?

AFM, AF is kicking my butt.  No big surprise.  Find it humorous that so many of us have AF around the same time each month. You would think we lived in a college dorm with the synchronization of our periods.  New month, new hope!

Doula, your chart is looking good!!!

Thanks ladies, but it looks like this spotting is becoming AF :( I'm wondering if I did ovulate on the second dip as this would make sense for my normal LP. If this is AF I'll go in for some more blood tests tomorrow and hopefully get some answers. It's not officially been a year of trying and I'm really feeling it today.

It is really weird that a lot of us cycle together! At first I was a little off and now I'm cycling along with everyone. Funny...

doularebekah- hug2.gif I'm sorry it didn't happen this cycle. TTC sure can take its toll on us. Do something nice for yourself today :)

JustJenny - Thanks for that :) I'm heading into town today to treat myself! Although....no sign of AF yet. Weird!

AFM - I waited on it yesterday but still just a bit of spotting, that had become a tiny bit of brown by the evening. And today also...nothing! Less spotting than yesterday, but my temp is down (although not below coverline). Is there anyway this could be implantation do you guys think? Have I completely miscalculated my O time this month? Ugh, I wish it would just start already!

doula, I don't know what to say as I look at your chart.  You have several charts that go 35 to 40 some days, so I would just wait it out a few days especially since your temp is down near the coverline.

lilac - You're right, I do just need to wait it out :) I'm thinking I might have ovulated a bit later, who knows. Either way, still no AF! Weird.

What is everyone doing this weekend to keep occupied?  This morning I made a corn casserole with corn, creamed corn, flour, butter, eggs, salt, and pepper. It smells so good!  It is for lunch but I want to eat it now :)  Tonight I need to do laundry and I am going to work on some craft projects - maybe my MIL's Christmas gift - new pot holders.

We went to the Balloon Fiesta this morning!

We're planning on switching over the swamp cooler/heater later.

Tomorrow laundry, tennis and potato-sausage soup.

I'm on CD8 and not expecting to see much action till next week so I'm kind of care free for now.

Sick crap.gif  Just laying in bed today, not doing a thing....CD 8 for me too.

CD5 for me so far. I wasn't feeling good this morning. My temp jumped up a bunch I think because I was sick - sore throat and such.

Dakipode, the Balloon Fiesta sounds like fun.

JustJenny, hope you feel better soon.  Sickness isn't fun.

Sounds like everyone has some fun stuff planned. Hopefully you're all relaxing a bit, too! My aunt (who we're back living with) is reopening her quilt shop as an online store so I'm working on the web design and social media side of things. It's really good having a project to focus on and I'm having heaps of fun learning the designing stuff. If any of you are quilters, stitchers or sewers you should sign up to the newsletter or like the Facebook page - she has some really great stuff! http://delbrookquiltcompany.com

On the other side of things, still no change. No AF yet, a tiny bit of spotting and that's it!

Doula, the link above just links back to our thread - I fixed it here - http://delbrookquiltcompany.com/ Being the sewer that I am, fabric is always a cause for creating a new stash to work from. I like to sew cloths mainly, but quilting fabrics are so pretty.

Today is my DH's 41st birthday.  I am baking him a chocolate cake and I will be putting a whipped cream, peanutbutter, and a bit of powdered sugar together to make his frosting. My sister made that frosting for him a couple years ago and he loves it!  Super easy and not all "butter" or "fat".  Tonight we are going out to eat at BD's Mongolian BBQ - http://www.gomongo.com/ Yummy vegetables, tofu, and sauces that are BBQed to perfection then served over rice.  It is so yummy.  I can't wait.

I hope everyone's weekend was as fun as expected.

Thanks for all the hugs and encouragement, ladies. That's why I love this group so much. blowkiss.gif

I hope of course that we won't have to cross that bridge but I'm all for having a contingency plan, it keeps the hope alive.

Contingency plans DO keep the hope alive. I felt so much better about this journey once we put a plan in place with my RE. Best of luck with the clomid - is this your first cycle on it?

I wish I had some sage advice about reading your chart, but I can't make heads or tails of it - I hope that it becomes happily clear soon. fingersx.gif I would love to see a photo of the quilt you are working on. I don't quilt, but admire those who do.

Lilac - you made me want CAKE! orngbiggrin.gif

AFM: I'm on cd 14 and just had my second IUI done today. The clomid was kinder to me this time around and my body decided to ovulate without an hcg injection. The IUI procedure itself was easier this time too - not as painful. DH had something over 110 million swimmers and I have two follicles measuring 25mm on my right ovary. I'm hoping this will be the month. If not, then the next cycle will include an HSG, clomid, and another IUI.

This month is pregnancy and infant loss awareness month. Tonight I'll be lighting three candles in remembrance of my babies. I found this memorial night to be very healing last year. On Sunday, our city is hosting a Walk to Remember, and I think I will go to that too. Is anyone else doing something to honor their angels this month?

Lilac: you made me crave Mongolian BBQ! Alas, it's mac&cheese on the menu tonight. That or a sandwich...

The Balloon Fiesta IS fun! I'd never been, lived here 13 years. I can see the balloons from the back yard but never wanted to get up so early to go to the actual event. So we got up at 5am. It's surreal to see the freeway backed up at that time in the morning, but think 100 000 people trying to get somewhere at the same time!

TickleToes: yes, this is the first cycle. I did fine, no side effects. The doctor prescribed 100mg a day, I didn't question it, even though all the web info I'd found said start with a low dose. I could've sworn the nurse told me to take the 50mg pills at 12 hour intervals so that's what I did, religiously!

I'm sorry for your losses. I can't imagine what that feels like. I think rituals are important and I hope your ceremony tonight brings you peace and healing.

Good luck to your egg(s?) and swimmers! Those numbers sounded good!

AFM: waiting to O, thinking of planning a "sexy" weekend, since that will be about the right time... I could use some tips regarding spicing things up at home. We are pretty routine with dinner at home, movie on the couch and then go to bed... DH is not into gourmet food or anything and going to the movie theater doesn't particularly turn me on.

Tickletoes, looking forward to seeing some exciting news for you in a few weeks.  The cake was good - I love the whipped cream, peanut butter and powdered sugar icing.  The Mongolian BBQ was great too. I had no idea it was pregnancy and infant loss month. The memorial that you are doing for your 3 lost little ones is touching. I haven't been pregnant yet, but I know there are days when I wonder how my family would be different if the sibling my mom lost between me and my next sister was alive today.  I am the oldest of 7 living children and the 8th one will remain a mystery until I go to heaven. I look forward to meeting my brother or sister there.

dakipode, I am not much help on the "sexier" weekend.  My DH is pretty low key and routine.  I know what turns my DH on, but it probably wouldn't be what turns your DH on.

AFM, supper last night was great.  Went grocery shopping afterwards and then to the fabric store to buy material to make my classroom "aesthetically pleasing". It was an area that was noted on my last teacher evaluation - "room looks institutional".  Um, yeah, it's a school.  Okay, I will put up spicier bulletin board backgrounds and hang a curtain over my organized sheets of paper that are tacked up so I don't forget things.

lilac - Thanks for that! Oh man, that icing sounds incredible - I definitely have to try it! I always had a hard time making my classroom look pretty, school classroom usually just aren't. I always just went for bright colours and hoped for the best :)

tickletoes - I'll definitely try and get a photo of my quilt, I'm really happy with how it's turning out! I'm only a baby quilter, definitely more of a knitter as I'm not always as patient as quilting needs you to be! Crossing my fingers tight for you this month, ovulating without the injection is definitely a positive. Looking forward to hearing some good news, soon :)

AFM - my spotting stopped a day or so ago, so I decided to go and see my doctor. Partly because I was meant to have a blood test for my fertility work up on CD2 and I didn't know if I'd missed or not depending on what the spotting meant! So she sent me for a blood test to see if I was pregnant and I found out today that it was negative. I'd tried really hard not to get my hopes up, but with my cycle being so strange and my temps still rising I'll admit that I had a little bit. I'm not sure what to do know, but I guess I'll go back and mark those spotting days as a light period and start on this new cycle. My plan for this month is order OPK's (any recommendations? how often do you use them?), take my metformin, try and get myself a bit more healthy by exercising more and better timed sex. That last one seems a given but we've still been pretty laid back about it so we're going to make more of an effort this time.

Hope everyone had a fun weekend!

Doula, sorry to hear that your blood test was negative. Sounds like a good idea to call it "light period" and move to the next month.  I tried OPKs once. I think the box had like 10 sticks in it.  I waited until about day 10 or 11 for me, then starting using them each morning -although some boxes say not to use them with first morning urine.  Basically it just confirmed what my chart was telling me.  The guess work of "is the test line darker than the control line" made them annoying to me so I only did them one month.  Hope you have better success with them.

AFM, I think I need more sleep.  I was making myself breakfast - my ritual bowl of oatmeal with fruit - went to add a cup of water to my 1/2 cup of steel cut oatmeal.  I looked at the bowl and it didn't seem like there was enough water.  Nope, there wasn't because I put 1 cup of oatmeal in the bowl by accident.  Oops.

Tonight I am taking a 21 things for a 21st century teacher class - it is talking about all sorts of web 2.0 things like videos, blogs, wikis, etc.  I am pumped.  Finally I can get credit for some things I started doing for myself, just because.

Hello! I'm a newish newlywed, married in May. This is our first month TTC. We're both in our 30s, and I've been off birth control now for three months after taking it for almost 15 (wow!) years. My husband is a "just relax" kind of guy, while I have been researching and trying to figure all of this CM, OPK, BBT, BD, POAS, etc. stuff out! I'm trying to remind myself to be patient and enjoy where we are in our lives right now, because we do have much to be thankful for.

I'm looking forward to getting to know and learn from you all. MDC is a great community.

I'm new to Fertility Friend, too, and think this link should display my chart: http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/3e2446

doularebekah: I use OPKs every cycle. I can't tell by temping when I'm going to O, only when I have O'd, and my CM reading skills are so-so. I like them because they confirm the other symptoms. I was told by the nurse at the fertility clinic to count the first day that the line is half as dark as a fertile day and start BDing every day then. Mine definitely get darker and then lighter again so it's easy to see. I got the Wondfos on Amazon and they work for me.

Lilac: hehe, I know DH likes lingerie but I was actually looking for activities to do outside of the bedroom. I'll have to keep thinking on this one. Your workshop tonight sounds interesting, have fun!
