I'm glad it was that easy! I hope you don't have trouble finding a new person. I hate changing providers early in pregnancy I can't imagine having to do it this late in the game and with both of those issues to boot, hopefully neither effects your birth!

I followed Thyme's advice and had a bit of wine last night, the ctx went away, still had some BH, but nothing painful except the general constant pain in my side. They woke me up at 2:30 this morning, but once again the real pain I'm feeling is in my side more than in my back (where I feel my real ctx). I'm anemic and haven't been taking my thyroid meds like I should probably be (but from everything I've read later in pregnancy it's not that big of a deal for your thyroid to be right) so I wonder if one of those things is causing trouble too. My first was born at 36 weeks due to a ton of complications I definitely don't want this one out right now. I want her to stay put for at least two more weeks.

Didn't get the tree up last night :( Turns out the bag it was in was no longer waterproof and it's been in the barn since we moved in february. I was so frustrated with other stuff last night that I told DH I'd deal with it in the morning. Hope it's salvageable.

Well, as I'm sending my babe "baby-stay-put" vibes, I'll make sure to send some off your way, too!  ;-)

I just had to make an impromptu visit to my OB (they let me come after they'd closed, no less) because my b.p. is just spiking too high.  The last reading, after resting, was 180/100.  On meds.  Luckily, my OBs aren't prone to panicking and we decided to up my meds, since I'm on a relatively low dose right now.  But now I'm feeing the pressure for this baby to come sooner than later, in order to avoid an induction for b.p. that refuses to cooperate!  Just one more week would be good, yes?

Hang in there, take it easy and please, let hubby take care of the Christmas tree!!!  You only need to hold out one more week!

I hope an up in meds takes care of the bp problem, glad your OB sounds pretty relaxed! I will send stay put vibes to yours as well :)

DH doesn't do stuff like that. I'm lucky if he picks up the house once a year, he's been a little bit better for the last 6 months because I literally have had no energy for up keep. So he has to clean his clothes and if he wants clean dishes then he has to do them. He is the kind that if I ask him to put up the clothes he will put up HIS clothes and the towels then leave the rest for me. Yesterday while I was at my OB appt he let the kids dump their halloween candy all over our room and leave the half eaten, not eaten, trash, and still good candy everywhere. So that is what I tackled this morning. If I don't clean then we literally end up living in filth. I've been working hard with my 6 yo and I've got her headed in the right direction but DH doesn't get that they will follow his example. That is the way he was raised though, his mother did everything for him.

I went and looked at it. I don't think I can save it. We may just not have a tree this year. The metal is rusted and it's got a smell to it. Oh well. Right now I'm so annoyed after having to clean up that mess that I really don't care.

I don't blame you!  I'd be pretty hacked off too, if my DH left me a mess like that or allowed the kids to.  I'm grateful my DH has a relatively low tolerance for mess (not as low as mine, mind you, but he is a bloke, after all!).  He took me to my OB appt. this morning then, when we got home, cleaned up the mess the younger kids made, since my teenager couldn't be bothered.  He plans on mopping the floors later this evening, which is fine by me!   I'm grateful to MIL for raising her sons to cook, clean and do laundry!

He mops AND cooks??!! Count me as jealous. Don't get me wrong I love my DH and he has plenty of pros that outway the cons, but when I'm pregnant and miserable the cons make life very hard.

I think making a baby is pretty hard work at times! Glad you see the good in your DH also and hopefully he will help out a bit more when the baby arrives.

So this morning I almost finished painting the trim and doors in the master bathroom, and gave the sink cabinet another coat of paint. Hoping I can finish the cabinet and the first coat on the trim/doors during DS's nap this afternoon. Then? I think I might be done! And maybe I'll just keep the house clean until LO arrives? Hope I don't find another project that MUST be done before having 2 kids :)

I don't think I could paint right now if I wanted to. The smell would probably do me in orngtongue.gif

He is really good with newborns including playing taxi to babe because I'm the type once I stand up I am awake so he has to bring me babe if I'm sleeping. . Like I said he has a lot of pros too smile.gif he is just incapable of doing housework orngtongue.gif

ThymeMama, what is a baby hammock?  (I'm asking just in case you have time to answer in between crossing things off your list!  That's at LEAST a year's worth of projects at my usual rate, I'm so impressed!)

Yeah, and he's doing all the laundry since I can't carrry it all up and down the stairs to the basement (four storey house).  He brings up to me washed, dried and ready to be folded.  And I gave up shopping many, many years ago (we've been married 21 years end of this month) because I just don't do it right, apparently. You can't do the shopping properly, I guess, if you're not the cook! That's OK, I hate shopping anyway.

Lots to stay tuned for ladies! Keeping my fingers crossed and prayers coming for you! Nice friendly dr there, guen. : {

~Do a bunch of sewing that I would love to do and need to do

~Finish crocheting the baby blanket, have just less than half left plus the border. Doubt I get it done.

~Crochet Christmas gifts for the kids and some extra to try to sell locally. Don't see that one getting done either.

~Get hubby to CLEAN the inside of the car. It's nasty. Then install the car seat.

~I really have to get the spare room clean. BUT I have to wait on hubby. He's got to finish his shed off enough to get some of his shop stuff moved out there so he can get rid of some of his junk (like a huge door and frame, carpet and padding, etc) that's in my junk room so I can move stuff around so I can fit my Mom in there when she comes.

~I wanted to get the file cabinet set up before baby's born. Don't see it happening. Maybe my Mom can do it. Hehe

I got most of the sewing done and SCORE the room is clean! : )

guen - Glad you fired your twit of a mw! orngtongue.gif She sounds absolutely like *not* the mw for you! Hope your blood pressure goes down a bit. Having a DH who actually helps around the house should be keeping it low! winky.gif

Oceanseve - Happy to hear the wine worked! thumb.gif How's the pain in your side been today?

There are all sorts of styles, but the Happy Hangup is my favorite by a mile. I just cannot afford it! smile.gif DH is very handy and artistic (seriously, he is one of those people who can do literally *anything* and be great at it. eyesroll.gif Sometimes I feel jealous and disgusted by his talent. I know, *real* mature of me! ROTFLMAO.gif), so he is making me one. All carved and everything! I picked up the fabric today and I can't wait to see it all come together. I will try to remember to post pics when it's done.

biglaugh.gif Ha! If you only knew the truth! I call it ambitious, but my DH prefers the term "slave-driver" (not PC, I know). He says I'm one of those women that appear low-maintenance, but I'm really *far* more work than those rich-spa-type ladies. I take that as a compliment. Sometimes. winky.gif

I've made some good headway on my list the last couple days! Then I realized there are a few projects I forgot to post on that list. The birthing room floor is almost done and I'll be setting that up tonight. Baby's things are getting prepped tomorrow, and birth kit will hopefully be complete tomorrow too. thumb.gif

Re: painting. I am chemically sensitive, so although I am painting, I am using no VOC, no odor paints, like AFM and Yolo Colorhouse.

guen - I can vouch for that, it never fails when I send him to get groceries he never comes back with the right thing unless I write a sentence describing EXACTLY what I need.

Thyme - they got 13-14 minutes apart last night for a few hours and then in the middle of the night they just stopped. Competely, no pain, no ctx at all. When I fully woke up this morning I could feel she had changed position, tried to check my cervix this morning and it has moved back up. So I'm guessing all the pain this week has been from her moving down too soon, but after kicking my feet up all evening I guess she had a chance to pull her head out of my hips a bit and rearrange. joy.gif I am pain free this morning! Yeah!!

I was on a serious nesting spree yesterday. I'm hoping I can get the rest of the boxes from the barn dealt with today and wash all the sheets in the house, well overdue! I managed to get ALL my laundry done yesterday which is a huge accomplishment for me, nothing in the washer, dryer, baskets, or crib (aka the clean laundry basket). I need to pick up a few sleep gowns for babe today, I must have decided my old ones were too grungy when I packed them up :( My mom tried a couple of stores this week, but apparently gowns are out of style right now.

Can I just say, you ladies amaze me!  How on earth do you find the energy to accomplish all things you are in these last weeks?  I can barely move.  I hurt all over, can't move and breathe at the same time.  Hell, can't breathe when I'm not moving.  I'm generally so tired I feel like I could walk into a walk, frequently feel light-headed and dizzy and am generally utterly and completely useless.  I'd like to blame my age (40) but I can't be the only older mama here, can I?  And I know hypertensive mums do tend have more of these problems but still!  This is ridiculous.  I feel guilty when I read about all the stuff you all are doing!

So...I folded several piles of laundry today while sitting on the bed.  Yay me.

Good for you! Shoot, I never feel like I've done anything so often I don't.  When baby's hurting me, I just sit it out best I can. I got some laundry done today, dishes, mopped the little laundry room and kitchen and washed the counters well. That's pretty much it. The goal is whole house clean.... NOT happening. Esp if I just sit here and eat chips and my splurge of cheddar dip. I can't seem to find what I want to eat so I keep trying things. I was going to save this for maybe labor but I want it NOW.

Yeah for you!

Yeah, getting the whole house clean isn't even on my list, LOL. With four kids and hubbie, that's just NOT happening.  They undo my work faster than I can finish it.  I'm happy if I can just keep a few steps ahead of the laundry! ;-)

Still needs to be done:

-purchase remainder of cloth diapers/diaper covers- prep all diapers

- put finishing touches on baby room

-buy baby swing (this was an absolute, cannot live without, with my previous babies- in fact my last daughter burnt out the motor in our last swing!)

- make cloth wipe solution

- purchase birth supplies

- compile some cd's of music for labor

- deep clean our bedroom

- touch up paint on various trimwork throughout the house

-  clean windows and steam clean carpets/mop floors

- continue to prepare and freeze as many meals as possible

- clean car and install car seat

- buy a few odds and ends that were put on registry that no one has paid attention to (I bought a few things, but still need a few more)

- clean fridge and under cabinets

- pack last minute birth center bag

I have completed my list!  I have officially done everything that I can possibly do to prepare for this kid... including sterilizing all my breast pump parts (which wasn't even on my list).

I just have to continue preparing/freezing as many meals as possible and keep the house clean.  She can come now!

Oh whole house is not ever going to happen, not for another 20 years :p Most tasks I do sitting down with spurts of standing. Dishes, sit do laundry, clean the bathroom, sit do laundry, sweep the bedroom, sit do laundry..... I have a LOT of laundry in this house lol.gif

That's been my temptation.  Now that every single thing on my list has been finished, I keep thinking of little things that I'd never have thought of otherwise. Instead of putting them on my list though, I try to just think of them as "icing on the cake" if I get them done.  Last week, I went into DD3 and DD8's closets and put together a dozen outfits for each of them to make life easier when the baby comes.  When DH dresses them for school and kindie, he sends them off in some of the most inappropriate stuff!  When I fold and put away the little ones' laundry (the big kids do their own!), I make up one or two more outfits, so the outfits are replenished. Yes, big time OCD.  But I like knowing that the girls will go off the school and kindie dressed properly and it makes DH's life a lot easier, too!

LOL, laundry!  I remember when I had one and two kids, laundry was a chore and I would do it and then it would be "done" (at least, for a day or two).  When I had my third, I recall one day realizing that trying to get the laundry "done" was a joke and would never happen again.  Laundry is something you do daily, always moving it along, but never, ever actually *finishing* it!
