Ha- I know!  I have been so restless and nesting like crazy.  But hopefully just making food and general house upkeep will be enough to satisfy my compulsions!

And hopefully she will be here before I completely exhaust myself.

I remember those days at home. That's also probably why Mom started pulling a chair to the sink and teaching us to wash, dry and put away all but big pots and pans, glass and knives when we were 5. Lol We all had chores. But ya, no kids to mess up (unless you count "The Three Little Pigs" as my sister-in-law calls her youngest sisters. I teach them M-F and the house just never looks quite the same when they leave.) and hubby, wow, he can make the biggest mess in like 2 seconds flat. I'm so happy most of his stuff is GONE to the shed now.

I just have to continue preparing/freezing as many meals as possible and keep the house clean.  She can come now!

Wow, that's super great! Come help me finish off mine. Lol I really don't have that much left, it's just a lot of half projects and things hubby has to do and things that just aren't on my list here. Like the pump, yes. And I have another load of canning to do. I am giving anything else that comes in to my MW. She said she'd take the work off my hands and dehydrate/blend the tomatoes into powder for her winter soups. I said she gets the next (which will be last) load.

Then the garden needs ripped out for the winter.... That's so going to be his job.

Yep! I do the same thing!  Esp if I do have a couple extra weeks to wait. With Christmas coming, I'll have plenty to keep me occupied. I am trying to crochet stuff for the little nieces and nephews.

My Mom only has her, Dad and 17 yr old boy at home now (instead of all 6 kids plus 2 parents).  She STILL can't keep up with laundry. I think she's just fallen into the mentality that it can't be done so she doesn't even try. Same way with the house. I think we girls spoiled her into having no priority for cleaning it herself. We kept it as clean as possible with the boys tracking mud and bringing in saddles and dirty animals (yes that was so stinky and annoying).  She's a border line hoarder too. I'm gonna put her on a talk show one of these days. Haha
