I just got a positive on a home pregnancy test yesterday and think I am still in shock! My situation is rather unusual as I am a single mom of a 10 year old dd and have been TTC for 2 months using a sperm donor I found online, and wondered if there is anyone else on here who has used a donor to get pregnant and done it as a single mom? Suddenly feel quite alone in this situation and would love someone else to talk to who has been in a similar position and might have advice.
FWIW I decided to do this after thinking about it on and off for a couple of years, because I have been longing for a second child for many years, and want to give my dd a sibling while she is still a child herself before she becomes a teenager, and as I haven't yet met my 'mr right' I feel time is running out, so this seems a good option for me, although unconventional.
