We are so excited that we are moving to Asheville, NC in November. My husband accepted a job this morning. We've dreamed and planned for about a year and it is finally happening.
But before it can be all coming up roses I have found out that moving and taking a new job will mean I cannot get insurance through cobra (because my husband's current company is too small to carry real cobra.) This is not the information they told us a few days ago before accepting the position. I'd like to say that my current pos insurance is Kaiser and they should be illegal for what they do in regular "coverage" much less for this little added tidbit.
We are still working to find out if my husband's new co will pick us up earlier with their plan or if I might be able to use the state insurance or something like that.
Hilariously (except not really) this may force me into a home birth which I hypothetically like the idea of and am actually slightly terrified about. I liked that when labor wasn't progressing last time and I couldn't remember why we were there I could get an epidural and an hours worth of pitocin made the difference between a vaginal delivery and a c-section. I like options.
In other good news we saw on an ultra sound today that the baby's choroid plexus cysts are all closed up and that puts me back on track for no complications.
So there you go, happy, shitty, questionable and happy again. I have no idea where this leaves me. GRRRRR!
