I used to be a student, then both, student again but doing an internship and student teaching full-time, now I work full-time and have for a couple years.
I guess technically I'm both, but I'm working on my Master's Degree super slowly so I'm not sure it counts. Right now I work and take one class a semester. It'll take me forever to finish, but taking it so slowly means I don't get overwhelmed.
I noticed the survey above only gave the choice of either studying or working. I am doing both. I work 1/2 time and study 1/2 time. I do study from home though (online masters program).
I work f/t right now, but will be going back to university within the next couple years. Then, I'll do a combo of work and school for a few years, then a few years of f/t school (clinical placement), then back to work.
I'm working full-time and going to school part-time. I was registered for 12 credits this semester, but dropped two classes. I was overwhelmed. This is the first time I have worked full-time after being a SAHM for a decade. I couldn't hang doing both full-time with four kids and a husband... I do have plans to take a full load next semester, though, but they will be easier classes and I will be more into the swing at things with my job (I only started working there in May).
I was looking around in here because I WANT to go back to school! I could stop working if I had a plan! Anyhow, back to browsing - I want to see how other moms manage to get back into school!
I am a full-time student, but I also clean house and run errands for two disabled ladies and I'm the "secretary" for my Dh and roommates' moving/junk removal business. So, I technically work, but I am my own boss. :)
