Tube on dominant ovulating side was removed!

[I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this, so please feel free to move it, if not.]

We started TTC #2 and last month got pregnant on the first try.......but we found out about it in the ER because it was ectopic.  My left fallopian tube ended up rupturing and just the tube was surgically removed.  My concern is that I think my left ovary is the dominant one.  I think I almost always ovulate from that side because that's the side I feel my mittelschmerz pain.  My doctor told me that since I still have both ovaries my chances of getting pregnant are only down 15%, but I'm assuming that statistic applies to someone who equally ovulates from both ovaries.  He also said that an egg from my left ovary can make it to the right tube, but that just seems so unlikely.  I mean, I believe it's possible....but not super common/probable.

I would love to hear and any thoughts or straight shooter information you have on that.

Sorry to hear about your ectopic.  I have a friend that had to have one tube removed and she conceived naturally her first month off bcp's.  I was amazed.  Don't give up hope.

Wow, that sounds like me. I too had an ectopic and it partially ruptured. They surgically fixed my tube but it turns out it is completely blocked from scaring. My dr also said it decreases my chances 15-16%. However I too have a dominant ovary and have been ovulating out of it for the past 10 months. Anyway. Dr put me on clomid this month and I got two follies on the good side. I'm 4 dpo and am Hoping it worked this month. I started going in for 12 day ultrasounds and then he decided to put me on clomid. He too told me some crap about my egg traveling to the other side. Maybe that is possible but it doesnt sound good.
